  • Am I ready to do induction again??

    Hello All!

I was on my 3rd week of induction when I messed up on Christmas Day and since then (10 days ago) I've been eating regularly. (Even chocolate (butterfinger), cookies (reg. choc. chip) , etc.) Surprisingly no weight gain.

Will I still succeed at losing weight and inches? Can I consider this a metabolic tune-up and go right back into induction now? Will the weight loss be slower or quicker?

I am ready to go today. Is it okay? Too sudden? Too much change?

    Sorry for all the questions!

I don't know the answers to all your questions but one. "Will I succeed at losing weight and inches?" Yes. Get back on plan today and you will lose weight. But you have to be committed, of course. Get rid of all the junk. Buy all your Atkins friendly food, plan your meals and get going. I am also starting over today. I feel crappy from the carb eating that was going on over the holidays. I know I'm in for a rough couple of days this week (induction flu) but after that I will feel so much better and I'll be able to resist all carby temptations. So my feeling is, why wait to feel better? Get back on track today.

^^^ Thanks for responding! And good for us for starting over! I haven't felt this crappy in a long time. I truly believe everything has fallen behind due to going off the diet. My energy level has plunged and I became lazy (like I used to be!). So, back on the diet today!

Now, hopefully I'll excercise this time...hmmmm....

Exercise!! For sure, you must exercise! You get the feel good endorphins running through your body. It will also help with sagging skin and with tightening those muscles up. Besides, Dr. A says "exercise is not an option" meaning you must do it. I plan it into every day. Tonight I'm going to the gym on the way home and I'm really looking forward to it. Have you joined an exercise challenge? It's a good motivator. It will also help get your energy up. No, there's no downside to exercising.

Plsparties, you will do fine. I am on my 7th cheatfree day and while I still want to gobble down everything in site, it gets better every day. Have you started a journal, somethimes that helps

Oh, I know excercise is "non-negotiable". I have 2 toddlers, so they keep me very busy. Sometimes I'll dance for an hour straight with them. I mean, jump up and down, touch your toes type dancing. (The wiggles)

But, I need to do more of a routine and be consistant with it. How about jogging in place for a 1/2 hour barefoot? Would that help? I can't go outside to work out because of the snow and I don't wear shoes inside.

Anything that raises your heart beat is great! So yes, 1/2 hour of running on the spot the spot is going to be great. Definitely for a start anyway, until the snow clears.
