Hi, all. Just made up a list for myself of things I can do to sidetrack/distract myself when I get the urge to eat (because I'm bored or I want to, not because I'm hungry). I'm looking for more ideas...what would you all add to the list? I'm looking for things to do that would take maybe 15 minutes, wouldn't take a lot of special equipment or knowledge, and could be done at home (or possibly work), some that are fun or just plain goofy to distract me from the fridge!

- Practice the guitar or other musical instrument for 15 minutes.
- Play some funky music and dance for one song.
- Read a poem, short story or a chapter from a novel, just for fun.
- Write a postcard to a friend.
- Call up or email a friend.
- Walk around the block.
- Drink 16 ounces of water.
- Go put on your favorite shirt.
- Draw a picture or color in a coloring book.
- Purge old files and papers for 15 minutes.
- Try on at least 3 hats.
- Look at a photo album.
- Play solitaire or another computer or card game.
- Do 15 minutes of yoga poses.
- Do 15 minutes of tai chi.
- Take a shower or bath.
- Walk up and down the stairs 15 times.
- Take a 15-minute power nap.
- Write in your journal for 15 minutes.
