Re: How are all the STAC re-inductees doing today?

I'm on day 11 and so far I have lost 6 pounds. I have a trip tomorrow out of town to see my MIL (yippee-NOT!!) and she cooks dinners heavy on the carbs. Country style... I don't know what I'm going to do. I'll try to stick with salad and cheese.

I don't want to offend her by not eating much of her food, and really it doesn't taste all that good either...but I'm picky, I guess. And I don't want to have to explain that I am doing Atkins and trying to lose weight, because she always has something to say about stuff we do. And it's usually not very positive. I have these wonderful fantasies of telling her off and punching her, isn't that terrible!

Anyway, that's my dilemma. I am glad to read that everyone else had been doing so great. Keep it up!

Langford..... Induction flu is different for everyone but usually the second or third day it kicks in. Some are even lucky enough not to get it in the first place.

CameoMom....... Maybe by telling your mil that you arent eating sugar, and processed items instead of using the "A" word will help? Just mention that you keep it simple by eating meat and veggies. I find that works for me. Good luck this weekend!

Re: How are all the STAC re-inductees doing today?

This is Day 8 for me. Haven't gotten on the scale, but with all the water I've been drinking, I'm bound to have lost some water weight. Started back on monitoring my foods on FitDay, but the one thing that's holding me back now is exercising. Last week, I walked 30 minutes during a morning break at work, and have been thinking about taking 30 minutes every day to do that, so long as I make up the time. I'm just not a morning person when it's winter, and with our long days here, I'm too tired at night to walk about 10pm.

        Anyway, just checking in...

Doing find today. I'm having some friends and family over to clean out the refrig of all the leftover carbs. They don't know thats why they are coming, but there is so much I need to get rid of, they are going to think my menu is a little suspect. Which it is. Last week I gave my brother a bag full of stuff to take home with him, Corn bread mix and all that.

well I have made it through Day 2 of a clean induction..

I think I already experienced a bit of the induction flu earlier, not sure if it is too soon to be experiencing the induction flu or not, but it sure felt like it (on the afternoon of Day 2 clean induction!).

I have so much energy, and feeling full!

I was very excited to find this forum . I think I am in the twenties in my stop and starts and needed a place to learn how not to let that happen again. I am on day 13 techincally and doing great but since I had some awesome blossum onion ring thingy on New Years eve, stupid thing to cheat with huh, I am cheat free for 8 days now and feeling good. Here's my update: still have the 3 pounds lost but am having trouble not falling off the wagon. I can't convince myself this is a good idea for some reason! I can tell that I'm getting used to the idea though, so one of these days I"ll make the switchover to fully on the wagon, hopefully today! ;-P I'm considering this day one, even though technically it isn't. So, restart today! ;-P

Re: How are all the STAC re-inductees doing today?

Well I on day 7, yesterday I broke induction rules, wanted something crunchy and salty and ate a half a cup of mixed nuts.

Felt bad until I went to bed because I caved in, but today is a new day and a new beginning.

I’m hoping to be accepted into boot camp on the 16th and do a completely clean induction WITH EXERCISE.

                  I’m definitely back though

garyods you may have stalled yourself a little bit buy not badly. I'm on day 8 so I am right with you. Actually I noticed a bunch of us around day 8 I hope to see all of us make it to 14!

As I said earlier I think I stalled myself with cheese & now I'm really measuring & making sure I'm not going over. I'm really planning out my food & cooking a lot which is time consuming but worth it. I think once I get some good recipes down pat it will be much easier. I'm not going to way myself til Friday & hoping I will show a bigger loss.

Today I restarted induction. So far so good...I've eaten appropriate food and I've got 75 of my 125 ounces of water downed. I do have a caffeine headache, but nothing I can't live through.....

                      We can totally do this!!

I had bought a nice kitchen scale for baking bread and pastries .

Well it works great for Atkins now (not too). One of the nice features of this inexpensive scale is I can tare out as I go. Put the plate on (set to zero), put salad on (set to zero), 2 oz dressing (set to zero), put meat on . . .you get the idea.

I'm dedicated to this WOE, last time I went through OWL (without the ladder), got to where I wanted to be and left the program. I sure hope I stay with the program all the way this time.
