        If you could change one thing about Atkins and magically the plan whould still work with your change what would you change and why?

          What is your favorite kind of music?
          Christian alternative, I listen to AirOne - it is "harder" than pop (I dont know what the current classifications are anymore), and country, if Air1 wont come in, like at work.

          Do you make flax muffins and do you like better the Raspberry flax muffins or chocolate?
          I have not been able to bring myself to make flax muffins yet. I am a pretty simple basics cook. But i am sure I would prefer raspberry chocolate.


          Are you a morning person, afternoon or night owl?
          I tend to adjust, depending. I am used to shift work, so I have to go with the flow. I find myself often up late, though, regardless of the wake up time, mostly to catch up with what didnt get done, and watch my favorite shows!

          Where the heck have you been lately?
          I have had limited computer access while we are staying at my folks'. My dad is out of work , so plays card games online all day, and I am working nights. I read the posts, respond if I feel compelled by something in particular, and try to update my journal. We should be in our own place soon, so I should be able to be online more.

            What color is your hair and how long is it?
            My hair is a dark blonde, I think I finally have it back to my natural color! It is mid back, and I hope to hae it to my waist again soon.


            What color are your eyes?
            Blue or green, depending on what I am wearing.



            What is your favorite time of the year?
            Fall/winter/spring. I like the cold, and nasty weather, the worse, the better.

            What are three of your favorite movies? Three of your favorite songs?
            Movies: The end of the Spear (I KNOW its not out yet, but I just cant wait!)
            The Matrix trilogy
            The LOTR trilogy -
            and anything funny.

            If you had a million dollars, what would be the top three things that you would do with it?
            I would tithe, invest, and then spend the heck out of the rest. I would set my parents and grandma up for settled, buy a house and land in the middle of nowhere, and stay home with my kids (and maybe do some travelling with them) and live off the interest.

            If you could choose any career in the world, what would it be?
            Stay at home mom, OH YOU MEANT REAL JOB! I would either run a rec program or be an architect.

            What is your favorite thing to do?
            Depends,,, sometimes reading, sometimes playing games with friends.. I am a woman of varied and wild interests. LOL...

            What kind of pets do you like?
            Dogs and fish. Cats if they have a lot of character and talk and think they are dogs.

            Will you post a pic of yourself in your journal?
            I am working on it!

            Once you reach your goal weight, how will you celebrate?
            By getting married. Assuming I can trick someone into it!

              I think I would either have fruit earlier, or a cheat system, like sugar busters, either one meal a day, or one day a week where it didnt matter.

                    Sorry! I would pick fruit and a cheat meal or day for the same reason, that taste of sweet... the things you cant have until later now... a product of the microwave society.. I want it all, adn I want it RIGHT NOW! If I have to wait, something is wrong!

                    LOL... More of a character flaw in me, than something that I think really should happen.

                        Absolutely romantic. Scary movies literally keep me up for weeks.

                        Where's the furthest you have been from home?
                        When I was 19 and living in S. California, I packed up one duffell bag, a sleeping bag, and the fifty dollars cash I had and went to join some friends I knew casually from church in Alaska. Best decision I ever made. My mom was sure she was going to have to have fruit and milk flown in for me.

                        Do you have a special talent?
                        I am excellent at losing things, and about equally good at forgetting things.

                        What was the last thing you watched on television?
                        Teen Titans this morning with my boys. I made them watch it with me. The last grown up thing was a House rerun.

                        What is on your mouse pad?
                        I dont use a mouse pad. I find a book or magazine or something.

                        Drink water from glasses or a monsterous water bottle?
                        Either from a half gallon plastic container, or just straight from the gallon jug with a Super Big Gulp straw. They make fun of me at work.

                        What is the first thing you notice in the opposite sex?
                        If they look like they smile a lot. And do they smile at the kids around them. Do they look "iffy", like someone who would cheat, or like someone who wants to go home to his family. Does he seem puffed up and full of himself. WOuld his be a comfy lap to sit on? (NOT that I have spent much time thinkng on this, hehehe.. .if you know any single "good" guys in NV, Im your gal)... All subjective, I know... but I have a lot of hard earned hang ups about men! I find more every day!

                            How old are your kids?

                            Where do you live? You may already answered that. If so, ignore.

                            Where would your dream vacation be?

                            What do you miss the most? Your favorite high carb treat, if you will? And how can you "substitute" for that food?

                            1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
                            what the rungs mean to me:
                            rung 1 - more veggies
                            rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
                            rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
                            rung 4 - berries, melon
                            rung 5 - wine -
                            rung 6 - beans, hummus
                            rung 7 - other fruits
                            rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
                            rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
                            Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
                            (on to pre-maintenance)

                              ACK! I replied, I really did, I think the computer ate my homework!

                              What do you like best about the Atkins way of eating and what do you like least about it ??

                              I like best not having to ingest anything that tastes remotely like cardboard, and also not having to starve and convince myself that the hollow empty hungry feeling is a GOOD thing.
                              I least like that Starbucks has yet to come up with a no carb answer for the mochabreve or their blended drinks! and that one little bitty cheat throws my entire system in whack, but I think that is more a function of my biology than Dr. A's fault or a flaw in the plan.

                              What are your favorate low carb foods, the ones you eat the most, and which ones do you not like as much and only eat in a bind ??

                              I eat a WHOLE LOT of squash, eggs and bacon, and chopped veggies with dip. I vary my meat between lean beef, chicken and pork, depending whats on sale. Lately, I have been eating Panda Express steamed veggies with plain mandarin chicken on top at work for dinner most nights.

                              I dont eat things I dont like. I have developed an aversion for regular "salads", and hope that that goes away soon, so I am avoiding those for now.

                              What would your friends say is your best trait or habit, and what would they say is your worst??

                              My closest friend says my best thing is that I always try to see things from someone elses point of view and come at things from a point of empathy for them, and that I always base my decisions based on what I believe to be the right thing to do, regardless of what it means to me.

                              My worst thing is that I ahve a hard time making decisions, and try to take in too many things to consider.
