  • Day 5 tired & craving water!

    Well on day 5, doing well but still tired and craving water like crazy! Yesterday had carb cravings like mad but doing better today. Also better is the lurking headache which is smaller now. Anyone else still in the flu stage?

    How much water are you drinking every day? Are you tracking it? Not drinking enough water will make the flu symptoms last longer sometimes, and can also make you tired.

      Hi Jasmain. Yeah I've been drinking well over the eight 8 oz glasses and I can tell it helps with the headaches a lot. I know I'll feel better soon. I was also a big coffee/latte drinker (true Seattle native) so I know the caffeine withdrawal isn't helping things.

        yep drink when you are thristy cause you baody is already dehydrating by that time.
        the increase in your thrist is also a sign of ketosis congrats!

          I'm on day 4, and am still feeling very tired, but the nausea has gone away. Drinking my water.

            It's day 5 for me also.. I had carb cravings until today..Having a bit of problems with all the water, but I am keeping at it..This time around I didn't get the Atkin's flu.. I have trouble finding my Atkin's Book, (I moved house 9 months ago)..I went over to the Atkin's Board and read all about the 1st stage..I seem to have forgotten some of it..I need support also, especially to find my feet again on this food plan.. I have started working out last week, walking and Nordic Skiing, for about 30 minutes, each.. CU Malka

              I dreamed last night about a giant steaming loaf of Italian bread. My cravings aren't over quite yet

                I am on day four re-induction. I had the worst headache yesterday, but I feel better today. I am drinking all my water too, which definitely helps!!

                what the rungs mean to me:
                rung 1 - more veggies
                rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
                rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
                rung 4 - berries, melon
                rung 5 - wine -
                rung 6 - beans, hummus
                rung 7 - other fruits
                rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
                rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
                Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
                (on to pre-maintenance)
