    Hello! Off to work in a few. I've been back on track cheat free for a week now wohoo. Trying to get in the 140 asap (haven't been there since i was about 14)! i NEED to get all my water in today! anyways...hope everyone has a great day! i'll check back in a later!

      Hi! Feeling only slightly blue because the scales are not budging for me this time around (@$%@#$!!). But my pants are fitting a teensy bit more loosely than they did a week ago, so I'll take it!

        I'm here! I'm here! I can proudly say that I am happily 9 days into my clean induction. I got irritated last night because I stepped on the scale for the heck of it and it told me I was 4 pounds heavier than I was the morning before. I usually weight in the mornings weekly, but curiosity got the best of me. This morning that number is 3 pounds less so I guess that's good.

          Hi, I still here. I've been struggling a little. Caved to a coffee on Sunday. I'm thinking that I'll try and get into boot camp for Jan. 16. One thing that is a little different then last time is that I seem to be losing more weight this time on induction.

            Boot Camp is awesome, Binsk! I learned so much from just completing it. I had a tough instructor checking in on me. I try to run from her, but sometimes she still finds me! Ssh, no one has seen Wannabethintoo haning around?

            The accountability in the program is awesome. Like I said, I have some tools now to carry me through! I will never forget it.

            rung 1 - more veggies
            rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
            rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
            rung 4 - berries, melon
            rung 5 - wine -
            rung 6 - beans, hummus
            rung 7 - other fruits
            rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
            rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
            Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
            (on to pre-maintenance)

              Oh, yeah and my check in for today...
              I am four days into reinduction and I am hanging tough. I had a terrible headache yesterady, but Angelsfort reminded me that she gets them when she gets into ketosis, so I checked the stick and... yes!!!

              So, I am going to the theme parks for the week-end!! You know what that means, junk food!! Any tips on being good? I really need to. I can't take induction flu again!!

                Well, I still haven't started yet. But I am still here. Started my Dr. Phil reading challenge, though and boy, that book is pretty good. I think it will really help me stay on Atkins this time much better. I am also reading Thinking Yourself Thin by Darcy Buehler. Its about how to use meditations to rewire the self speak that you tell yourself so that you can actually succeed at you weight loss. I don't care for her, because she think Atkins' book is bunk but her book is pretty good anyway. Well I'll see if it sucks or not in time, I guess. LOL!

                  Hello I am here. On day nine of my cheat free induction. Unfortunately one of my kids has given me a bug, but I am pumping in the water and good foods so I will get through it sooner I hope. I too have signed up to get into boot camp. I hope that I can.

                    I'm here, and so far so good. Can't say I haven't cheated, had a bite of baked potato with my steak last night at the restaraunt. Not because I really wanted it, but I was working and was so hungry. Excuses, excuses..

                    So today I punished myself at the gym with extra reps. I figure my sore muscles will remind me that I don't wanna have that potato and have to put myself thru extra reps to make up for it.

                    Off to have a salad and some legal foods!
                    Restart 1/3/06 weight when I fell off the wagon 165
                    sw 189/cw 168/ gw 140 or loose size 10

                      Starting over again today. Been hard this go round.

                      Today I've had:

                      ham, bacon, hard boiled egg and cheese for brunch
                      shrimp cooked in butter and garlic for snack
                      dinner will be curry chicken with green beans and a salad

                      Exercise: 30 min treadmill (1/3 running, the rest walking), and 30 min elliptical, and situps

                      Water: a metric ton. ;-P

                      Hurt knee: 11/08
                      Restart: 5/10/10 Stats unknown as of yet!

                        I am having a horrible day. This morning I had a doctors appointment, to get my pills refilled and make appointments. Well, I had gained 5 pounds since last summer, so that was to be expected. The PA didn't like the idea that I was doing Atkins, he pushed portion control (What did he know he was fatter than I am, sheessh) but that was to be expected also. The worst part was I am 2 inches shorter and of course they ordered an immediate bone scan. I'm not worried about that, but if I'm two inches shorter, that means I have to adjust my healthy weight lower. (Stomps feet in a rage)
                        I can't lose 2 inches around my waist, no that would be to damn easy.
                        I can't lose 2 inches around my thighs, no not me
                        I can't lose 2 flabby inches around my upper arm, no.
                        I have to lose 2 damn inches in height.

                        So I am going to go to bed, stick my thumb in my mouth and be depressed for the next week.

                        Oh and its time for a colonoscopie.

                        Sorry Terry, I ruined your upbeat post. But I can hide from 2big in here. LOL

                          Sorry you had such a bad day Desert. <hug> My Mom lost 1.5 inches at her last check up and is currently on meds for osteoperosis. Im only 5 feet tall so hope Im not looking at the same thing in my future. *gulp* Never thought of it as having to change goal weights though! ouch I gotta do that colonoscopy thing as colon cancer runs rampant in my family. I figure Ill shoot for next summer while on summer break. Doesnt sound like a lot of fun.

                          Sarah, if those pants are getting a bit more loose then you are doing something right. Do you measure? If you dont it may be a good idea to begin as there will be times that you will not lose weight on the scale but you will be losing inches and it may just save your sanity if you can see the loss of inches when the evil scale doesnt cooperate.

                          Kate........ you will find that you weigh more at night than when you check in the morning so dont sweat that 4#. Water weight can flucuate daily. Keep it once a week if you can.

                          Shannon!! Glad to see you back on track. You did awesome in BC! Pack a small cooler with induction friendly snacks and be sure to drink a lot of water. Instead of eating .......... go on another ride!

                          Lowcarbing............ I am enjoying Dr Phils book also. He can be kind of full of himself imo but I think his book is right on. I will be glad to hear what you think of it.

                          TJ... sure hope you feel better soon! We just got thru the flu thing at my house over Christmas vaca and it was awful. Knocked the socks right off of me. Hydrate!!

                            My first check in because its my first good day, one where I didn't make excuses for eating out. I feel damn good about it too.

                            Now if only it were cold enough here in Mpls, MN to keep ice,I'd be able to play hockey and enjoy my night. Guess I get to go hit the treadmill now instead.

                              Yayyy on a successful day!!

                              Sometimes it helps to post even if you arent fully legal. It helps you to keep accountable to your goals. And it gives others the opportunity to help out and see that they arent the only ones that are having a spell of their own.

                              We all struggle from time to time. Helping eachother out is what STAC is all about.
