Did anyone else get the Atkins newsletter in their email box? I may be wrong, but it seems like they are changing the program more to the later rungs. They suggest eating fruit, whole wheat bread, and lean meats. They also talked about portion control.

i didnt receive the email but i read somewhere else about it. i also, a while back, bought a little box set full of atkins things to read and go through.... no where on there was there anything about induction. i was kind of upset. so im not really sure whats going on with them.

Yes I received the email. You are right, they seem to be marketing themselves as a 'lifestyle' and steering away from the 4 phases and induction etc.My ADBB Journal here.Comment

At least that info is still there and at least mostly accurate, if not completely accurate. Funny someone mentioned that email but it reminded me that I received an e-mail from beachbody.com (their newsletter - not sure if anyone else subscribes but they produce the Slim Series) and it had commentary on all the popular diets currently out there. Atkins was at the bottom of their list and the only one they completely poo-pooed. They did make a note under the South Beach section that those who have good success on Atkins ought to switch over to South Beach so they can maintain their weight for life. *rolling eyes at this point* Not like SB IS the maintenance phase of Atkins....but what do you expect from a company that is still living the big-fat (low-fat) lie.27 F 5' 7"
