    Hello to all,
    This is the LONGEST I HAVE EVER MADE IT EATING ATKINS WAY WITHOUT CHEAT.. I DO HAVE THE BOOK .. but i feel good and everything, but i have to say, i weighed and i am 211, at 5 ft tall, a woman and I have ONLY LOST TOTAL, OF 2 LBS MAYBE What gives? here is exactly how I have been eating...

    breakfast, 3 eggs scrambled, canned mushrooms only one third of a can.. and one to two oz of cheese...

    lunch a small can of tuna with 2 tblsp of mayo. on large romaine lettuce leaf..
    dinner was 2 1/2 as i was hungry for this, hamburg patties, with mush. and a touch of sprinkled motz cheese I love it fried with the hamburg... and a lettuce leaf again.... and maybe 160 ioz of water and 3 coffee thru the day with 3 tblsp of cream in them total. this is a sample but i have done this CHEAT FREE now for the whole ten days. i know about weighing I cant even say i really lost inches, but i get a subtle feeling I have changed... i feel a bit discouraged. has anyone had this then DROPPED LBS LIKE YOU KNOW WHAT soon after???? please some inspireation, i am no where near quitting yeay for that, but help me out here so I know I can lose as well..... thanks so much love these boards, ann. ps i had been around for months, complaining about how I could not get past day 3 and here I am ... I really think I am going to get to my goal some day in the future... but the scale!! ugh!

    First of all breathe.
    Second get a free account at www.fitday.com and make sure your percents are right.
    It looks from here you are undereating.
    Measure. I lost 6 pounds once in 6 months but we down 3 dress sizes.
    Are you exercising?
    Cheese and coffee are 2 things that effect people. You may need to see about removing them.
    10 days is noting in the life of a person your age. give it 10 more, then when that is over give it 10 more. That is the only way I can survive

      I agree with Lauren, coffee can be a major reason for stalls. Try drinking green tea instead of coffee for just a week. You will get used to it fairly quickly, and it is supposed to be thermogenic, so it will help burn fat. Everyone is different, and you need to find out what works for you, but a week is not much of a commitment to see if it helps.

        Are you eating your 3 cups of veggies each day?

          It does sound as if you are not eating enough. Qualitygirl, also read the sticky by Finelly at the top of STAC that says "Slow scales the second time around" It may be helpful to you, it is for me. I have re-started Atkins 21 times---NO joke.

            Your menu looks good. What about TOM, is it due shortly? Also you might be retaining water, those canned mushrooms have a lot of sodium.

              Dear Desertthorn and all ,

              first of all thanks so much for your support and helphere. I love these boards. ok. about the water retention yes, in fact my hands and feet feel it, I am prone to it otherwise and am off of my rx diuretics as of a 2 weeks ago when i started up as i read about the no no with atkins and them. and also i am today finishing up my cycle, but I feel smaller today even thogh it cannot be seen yet.

              I am eating for sure the 3 cups of dark romaine lettuce a day that is my veg of choice anyhow.. i use them so much as wraps for my burgers.. and the canned mushrooms i thought might be it too, just like you said here. so last night made my steak with fresh sliced mushrooms, a pad or two of butter, yum and tons of pepper and garlic POWDER. lol. yes, i have the garlic salt and do not use it for this at all. so, I wanted to say, I weighed today and at first it looks like and I am on day 11 or 12 of induction and it was down maybe 6 or 7 lbs. but how I feel is up there. also I have ketostix, and most of the time, it is small levels of ketones, and once or twice I saw it moderate. does this sound good like I am doing ok? Now, to exercise... which i HAVE totally INCREASED household chore activity and other things for running around and up and down my stairs etc. tonite, I will get on my gazelle, ( I want to tell you that I lost 50 lbs before and I FAITHFULLY used my gazelle 6 days per week and it does work ! so I want to get that back again. I feel so good now. See I quit smoking 3 and half years ago, after myweight loss, but gained back like 70 lbs. to now. I wear a size 18 and am a short person and I am 41. Now, I actually feel hopeful that I can be BOTH thin AND smoke free together. I have a one year old also, and a C section that about did me in and I have a terrible belly on me from the weight , c section it got infected severely, and it never healed right.. and the whole "apron flap" belly and it is just awful. I also have a pilates DVDthat I would like to do a few times per week. that is my plan. and so today, things are looking better. I am drinking my water, and I put in it " I drink tons" by the way, a touch of my peach tea crystal light. I hope that is alright. thanks again I am so glad to be here, and looking forward to my new life and this journey. Ann.

                Ohh, its the water pills. I went off them about 2 months ago and in two days I gained 6 pounds and so I went back on them cause I couldn't stand it. It will take you body a while to adjust to them not being in your system. Your doing fine my friend, keep it up and keep posting. We love to hear how your doing.

                  Oh, I can hear the song you sing! I found pilates great for strengthening my stomach. I had a C-section a year ago as well. (I, too, have a one yr old son) I was so shocked that I couldn't do even one sit up. Now I do 25-30 everyday on top of my pilates video.
                  You are doing so great, keep it up!! Day 14 will be here in no time at all.
                  The ketostix shades of pink will vary depending on the amount of water you drink too. So don't freak if it goes to light pink instead of medium or dark, as long as it stays pink, well.. err, you are in the pink!

                    thanks everyone and mamaglass, would love to know when your baby was born? mine was dec30th of a year ago from last month. did you have the 'APRON' belly? is it going away? we have similiar goals and wieght amounts also. I am currently today at 204. I was 211 or 212 the most I ever weighed in my life. I measured today also. I went out and bought a measuring tape, I used to measure at a weight clinic, wont go there so I know the proper techniques Iwas trained to use and the results were disturbing but i knew it would be that way.. and I have in my bank almost two weeks on induction without even one cheat, so I cannot focus on how bad my measurements are right now. It is too much and then i might fail you know. Iknow what my potential is... I want that back. thanks again looking forward to mamaglass about that baby`` ann.

                      I had my second c-section a year ago, and I look like I'm still pregnant. I tried pilates for a couple of weeks and it kills me to be down on the floor, I have arthiritis in my back, and spurs on my spine. I really need a no-impact but cardio workout. I have been very interested in the gazelle, though-I am really thinking about getting one of those. I hate it that when I sit down, my belly sits in my lap!! If I lay on my side, it flops over in front of me like a big pillow or something, so embarrasing even though my DH swears he doesn't notice, doesn't care, and loves me no matter what. Ugh! But, I have hope because after my first c-section, I did Atkins and lost the belly and a bunch of weight (that was 8 years ago, but I still have hope!)
