For those of you who might not know, I have to have a portion of colon removed (about 5 to 8 inches) and a hole in the bladder stitched up. The surgery is scheduled for Feb 8, at 9:30 a.m.
I'll be in the hospital for three to five days, and then be out of work for three to four weeks following that. I won't be on the board during my hospital stay, but will be more than available after I get home.
I can't eat anything, at all, the day before surgery, and I understand that I won't be allowed to eat for a couple of days following. Well, I guess I don't have to worry too much about too many carbs or bad hospital food, huh?
