This is not my first attempt at Atkins. I love the program, I love the way it makes me feel and, as a diabetic, what it does for my health. My problem is that I love food (I'm going to be honest here) and I seem to place that pleasure above the joy of being healthy. So, I go off the diet. I originally went on the diet in April 2005 and lost 12 pounds and gained it back. I'm restarting tomorrow (today being Valentine's day and chocolate and all, but I am only eating sugar free in moderation, with one net carb). This will be the last time. I am committed to it. Here's what I would like from you all. I would like two things. The first is advice or words of wisdom regarding not letting the taste of carbs control me. The second is for anyone who is interested, to PM me and let me know you'd like to be my weight-loss buddy. Someone, rather than a board, to whom I can be accountable and from whom I can get advice, and I'd like for it to be someone with a similar amount of weight to lose. I have to lose 125 for sure, probably more like 150. My final goal will be somewhere between 125 and 150, but I'll have to get closer to that to decide for sure where. Thanks to all of you in advance and I hope to get to know all of you well!
