    Induction -- Day Three

Woo Hoo! Two days behind and things are just going to get better and better. The worst we'll be is last weekend...and we'll be smaller by this weekend and our clothes will fit better!! Yeah! What a great reward for sticking with it!! And by the end of Induction we should have dropped a whole size! Wow!!! I can't wait! Come on Day 14!!!

Hey Erin! Saw your message on Day Two and brought it over to Day Three with me. (See below)

This morning I took my son to peruse the candy isle at the grocery store, (he's going to IMAX with his school) I had to leave and have him meet me at the register. I was irritated because I couldn't have any, not that I REALLY wanted it. I can't wait to be at day four, my cravings should be gone!
    Have a great day!

Day Three is starting just fine. I've been taking it very easy in the evenings and fixing my dinner and not much else (just in case of flu symptoms). So far, so good. Tomorrow I am going to get back to exercising and that will really boost the metabolism and charge everything up!! It also helps with depression so that is a great side effect of working out.

Congratulations on making through a whole aisle of temptation!!!

Well, off to start another day...(I'm at work and I guess I need to get busy - sigh).

Wishing all of you on Induction with me the BEST day! Can you feel anything yet? Clothes just a titch looser? I guess this weekend we will really be able to feel the first difference. Yeah!

    Erin,

I forgot to add that I hope your headaches are gone by this time and that you bypass the one you are expecting at 4 pm. (How do you know when to predict them?)

Anyway, I hope you feel better!!

Today is also my 3rd day and my cravings have been surprisingly low. I worked out with my trainer for about an hour last night and have had some sort of flu symptoms since. Hopefully it is just my body detoxing. I am going to fight through and I am not going to let it get me down.

Looks like there are a few of us that started at the same time. Nice that we can support each other on "our" day 3. I woke up feeling really good, no headache, and was able to get in a good workout before schleping the kids to school. I'm doing good with cravings, just trying to get to the bottom of what I'm REALLY craving, because it's seldom food/hunger driven. Had a moment of staring mindlessly into the fridge last night, but shook myself out of it.

Yeah! That's the spirit. Once we're past this hump it will all be so much easier and our clothes will be looser!!

          We're in this together!

Kinda neat that a few of us are starting (again) together.

Hum...I feel that my times of craving are from either habit or emotions. When I get upset about things my first reaction is to look for chocolate or ice cream. I am hoping to retrain myself and use another hobby or exercise instead of heading for the snacks.

            We can do this!

Boredom and anger are the 2 emotions that send me into a carb rage. So I guess I have to find a way to stay busy and happy.

If you could use exercise for boredom and/or anger, then you could kill two birds with one stone. And maybe it will help release the anger and you'll end up feeling happy afterwards? That would be a neat thing to chart to see if it really helped and made us all feel better emotionally.

(giggle) Us women and our emotions. Hard to imagine that men don't go through emotional stuff...I wonder if any men have emotional cravings?

How's OWL? Has it been fun going through the rungs? I can't wait until I finally get to try it.

                      Re: Induction -- Day Three

                      Hey,
It is 4:00 and unfortunately I have a headache. Kat, I can predict them, because for the last year I have been on and off too many times and it is always the same. BUT...I am ready for a CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN start (no Advantage Bars this time) and am going to stick with it. I just get bored cooking the same things. But enough of that negativity and excuses!
Kat is doing a great job at being upbeat and motivating so I want to follow her lead!!!
Everyone here, keep at it! We CAN and ARE doing this!
I hit the grocery store today, I have more veggies than I have drawers for them in my fridge, so I must be doing something right. Packed the freezer with meat and am ready to go.
Here's to getting past our cravings and trigger foods! This is easy for us! We know the pitfalls and are avoiding them!!!

I can't wait until day 14, I will post my progress that day. I would like to stay off the scale until that day, but I will have to put it away in order to not be tempted!

Hope your ALL having a successful day!
                      Erin

Oh yeah...the best rung so far is berries. Oh and I skipped the nuts rung...can't handle it.
