I do awesome on the 1st day and the 3rd day. But for some reason the 2nd day just kicks my rear. And it is usually in the evening when I cheat. What can I do to get through the 2nd day of induction? Once I get passed that day I do great. Another question...how do you get the scales that show your weight loss on your post?

Re: keeping failing on day 2
I think you just gotta bite the bullet. You are lucky, actually; for me the whole first week is hard, and I usually end up with a 4-day headache. You only have to go through just one tough day, and I know you can do it. You need to seriously ask yourself if it's really hunger that's driving you to the fridge at night, or is it something else? What could you do instead? For me, I often find myself "gazing" into the fridge when I am nervous or anxious. Sometimes its just a matter of identifying what we're feeling, and choosing to actully FEEL our feelings, rather than stuff them down with food. Because the truth is, the food doesn't really make us feel better for more than a fleeting moment, and much worse when we realize that we've sabotaged ourselves again.
If your feeling great on day 3, then just let it go and move on from here, leaving the past where it belongs.

HMF, don't succumb! Get your trigger foods out of the house. Load them in a box or garbage bag and put them in the car trunk if you have to. I know that sounds nuts, but it is more nuts for you to give into fleeting temptations and be back at square one tomorrow!
Today is my day three on induction. Last night I was craving sweets and I had to make myself find other things to do. Or you could just keep snacking on low carb foods to keep you full. I have done that to get by a craving too. I know it is NOT what we should do and why I am in this predicament to begin with, but if it will get you by this one night, do it.
I know how you are feeling, because I have been there, and we both know it is not worth it.
Please remove the tempting items NOW!!!
You are stronger than you think!!!

Re: keeping failing on day 2
just know you are an addict in withdrawal and just like a drug addict jones for another fix so too is your body jonesing for the stuff you gave up as the effects wear off. it takes 2-4 days for your physical symptoms to deminsh when you quit an adiction and it looks like for you that number is 2 so be strong and suck it up knowing how you will be on day 2!by the book atkinseer

Re: keeping failing on day 2
Keep going! you can do it! it is really hard the first week because you are withdrawing from sugar and carbs. The cravings are still there because your body hasn't gone into ketosis yet. you have to use alot of willpower to get through those first few days. But it is soooo worth it! It was about 7 days before ALL my cravings for sweets and carby foods went away. It was a hard week! But once i passed that hump...WOW!!! i just finished up day 13 and i can honestly say..i have NO CRAVINGS anymore! I went to my neices bday party tonight and passed on the cake and ice cream without blinking an eye. i didnt WANT it!!!! I lost 8 lbs my first week of induction, after fighting it every step of the way! Just know that after the first week you will be sooooo glad you didnt give in, then you won't have to struggle with the cravings..they will disappear!! you can do this!!!SW 301/Lowest 220/Restart 285/CW 285/GW 160
