They absolutely are a bad idea. I wouldn't take them. I find that when I am holding water weight, more water allevaites it. Their is a big long drawn out explanation as to why it works, but believe me it works.

Atkins works as a natural diaretic, so I wouldn't take any water pills. It you feel you are holding in a lot of water weight and are drinking your water, perhaps you should check out how much sodium you are consuming. That can cause water weight gain, or bloating.

    HTH!

It's only my musings, but taking them would dehydrate you severly since you're losing so much water weight already on atkins (exceptions for TOMs), so you would be very tired and uncomfortable even if you lost a little water weight.

A natural cure for water retention is drinking more water - unless of course you have some sort of electrolyte/kidney issue.

As Stephanie took the time to so eloquently and sweetly point out, taking a good, long look at your sodium intake may be all the answer you need.

I think I will just go with drinking more water..I don't really eat a lot of salt so I don't think that is the problem (and I don't really eat things high in sodium either). So maybe it will just go away..I did just get off of that time of the month two days ago and didn't think about that that could still be the culprit...but i guess it could still be

TOM definately tends to have some aftershocks....I would drink more and wait a few days and see how it goes.

                Good Luck.
