Hi beautiful people! I am trying to get here as much as I used to but with wedding season in full swing and the Maui trip coming up, my time is not my own these days. My apologies for being one darn poor correspondant, I miss everyone here so much when I'm away.
Well for those of you who knew from before that I was diagnosed with a fatty liver months ago, a wee update...I am still working out on the treadmill like a dawg every day for an hour. I am watching my body shrink while my scale refuses to move into Onederland
but I can see and feel the difference so pppffft. What-EVAH!
A friend of mine who previously had a liver condition showed me her books called The Liver Cleansing Diet and Raw Juices Can Save Your Life. I read them and took them to my doc who is thrilled with the almost 50 pounds I've lost in the past year. She wants me to start this 8 week liver cleansing diet. I am all for it (after Maui heh heh) but there are a few things that disturb me, It involves alot of raw veggie juicing and eating fresh fruits and grains (breads) accccckkkkkkkkkkkk! I almost ran screaming from the room. I read that you don't HAVE to use fruits, you can use vegs (whew) but I am concerned about the grains and stuff too. 2 weeks into the diet you are cut off of ALL meat for 4 weeks, the 2 weeks prior to that, the only meat you can eat is free range chicken and eggs (and in moderation) no butter, nada! I want to do this as I have seen the results firsthand. I am on Livatone Plus as well also formulated by Dr Cabot and it contains all kinds of good stuff, milk thistle included of course as well as green tea leaf extract, taurine, broccoli powder, L-Cysteine HCI, L-Glutamine, and loads of vitamins (no iron that I can see) I still take my Atkins Basic 3 vitamins and my Atkins essential oils too.
I wanted to know if any of you have ever done this cleanse, your results, and some opinions on the transition period food wise for me from both those who might have done the cleanse, and those who just have an opinion to share. Here is the link to the site for more info http://www.liverdoctor.com/
Other than that, life is good and I am looking forward to Hawaii, thanks for everyones PM's while I was gone. I always look forward to being back here at home!
