    Induction -- Day Fourteen!!

We're just about to walk across that Finish Line for our first two weeks of Induction!

We have braved Induction Flu, office temptations, emotional issues, sickness, family gatherings, etc. and we came out winning!

I am proud to walk across the threshold with all of you tomorrow completing our course and traveling the full journey.

    We are the champions!

Re: Induction -- Day Fourteen!! Walking Across the Finish Line...

Morning everyone. We'll we've made it through and we're still here. I'm in this for the long haul, not a quick fix, so I'm tempering my excitement about weighing and measuring with the knowledge that I'm not here trying to lose the weight fast — just once. My ususal pattern for Atkins has been a small-moderate weightloss for induction, then the scale freezes for about a month, then a sizeable drop. I'm hoping to be down 20 lbs. by my birthday — May 20. That's averages out to less than 2 lbs a week and I'll be plesantly suprised if I surpass that.
I am moving on to OWL, with a little more veggies to start. I think I've been doing a little (ok, a lot) heavy on the cheese (admitted cheeseaholic here) and I need to watch it.
But I must say, the greatest benefit of this WOE is that I feel just great. I'm craving free and I love the freedom of not being obsessive about food. There is just so much more to life....
XO! Glad we've got each other for this ride!!!

I promised myself I'd never see 200 on the scale again!

Re: Induction -- Day Fourteen!! Walking Across the Finish Line...

I am going to break my slight addiction to the scale and forgo my normal Monday night weigh in. I am going to go for 2 more weeks of induction then weigh myself then. It was important to me to weigh after 1 week to get that initial confidence boost I needed to get thru the first couple weeks, but the scale is no longer my only motivation.

            Hey Induction Buddies!

I wanted to let you know what I was thinking about tomorrow. I think I'm going to go ahead with OWL since I don't feel I have a problem with metabolic resistance and would like to start integrating more foods into my everyday life. (I've done Induction several times, but never took a step further so now I'd like to venture into the other phases.)

So, I'll be moving from the Second Time Around Forum to the OWL section and work from there.

I will do a post again tomorrow (in STAC) for all our results (for those of you posting results) so we can celebrate our first two weeks into this way of life.

I'm excited that we did this together!!! Each of you were a wonderful buddy to make the journey with.

Thanks! We had a great time sharing the journey together. I think some of them are going to continue on Extended Induction and you can follow with them there...and then there are some going onto Ongoing Weight Loss (OWL) and you can go in that direction too.

                You can join any time.

What a strange trip it has been. It seems like only a couple weeks ago we all came together on this quest..................Oh wait it was only a couple of weeks ago. Anyway this thread was the driving force behind me sticking through these difficult 14 days. It helped being the only guy in the thread I think so I think you all felt bad for me and took it easy on me.

We shall all cross paths again in a thread in the not so distant future.

                          Hello!!!
I'm back from the mountains and the "birthday cake." It did not bother me at all not to have any cake. My big hurdle was when my dh, who is doing this with me, gave into the temptations and cheated. Normally as soon as he does cheat, I'm right behind him!!

I'm so happy to be home and catching up with my buddies!

Kkat, way to go!! 15 pounds is amazing!!! I knew you were going to kick butt! Thanks for starting this thread, it has really helped me stay excited and on course.

Urban, you rock!! 6 pounds and 26 inches??!!! Incredible, I'm so happy for you! I'm so glad you were here with us. I plan on joining you guys in Owl soon.

Donky, I'm with you on induction for two more weeks. I look forward to checking in with you to keep me accountable.

Glad to have any new people either continuing induction or starting induction join us tomorrow.

I will be posting my results tomorrow morning on your results thread Kkat!
