  • To day is my 14th day but...

    I am a little bummed. I got on the scale this AM and it showed i have lost 7 lbs. BUT I got on the scale on day 5 and that is what i showed i lost then so i was pumped and thought,"wow, if i have lost this much on day 5 surely i will lose 10 by my 14th day!" But NOOOOOO! I have not cheated and i work out about 3 times a week. I'll have to admit in the last few days (3) i feel like maybe i am not drinking enough. I don't even notice any change in the way my clothes fit.I guess that is the worst part. The first time i was on atkins i went down a whole size after induction. I know 7 lbs is nothing to balk at but still...
    Thanks for listening to me vent, i am just going to hang in there.

    I'm new to this but...Today is my sixth day on induction I haven't lost any lbs. since day 4 but My hubby can see the inches going. Just keep up the good work! I keep reminding myself how good it will feel to be able to say I stuck to it & made it to goal

      Keep in mind that you're in this for the long haul. For many people the weight loss comes in waves. Be patient and keep up the good work! You will be rewarded.

        toobig, what you are experiencing is completely normal. You don't have an overwhelming amount to lose, just keep plodding along and the scale will start moving again. Also make sure you are taping your measurements as well!

          Read (or re-read) Moochie's piece on weight loss not being linear. It really isn't. Stick to eating what's allowed. Drink your water. Exercise... and you'll be fine. Those pounds will slink out the back door and you'll be slim and healthy. They're (those extra pounds) are just spluttering a bit at getting kicked in the ****

          Hang in there. You can do it!
