  • Hungry all the time, not enough fat?

    That title is ironic

This is my umpteenth time around on Atkins.
I started induction again with my DH along for the ride this time on Monday.
On Thursday, I was STARVING when I finally took my lunch at work, I had (admittedly) a rather thin chicken breast, and some green beans. But my tummy never stopped growling while I was eating, or after I finished. I ignored it for 3 hours, until I finally went to the cafe at work and got one of there (thicker) chicken breasts. After that I was better, but my stomach was still growling and I still felt hungry, though not quite as much.

I have never been like that normally, and was never like that when I was on atkins previously. I'm trying to think of reasons why i'd be feeling so hungry and i'm wondering it my fat isn't where it should be. I know that day what I ate had no real fat content to speak of (not made with butter or mayo or anything)

So, opinons all? I've been upping my fat, and making sure I eat things like bacon, and put butter on my veggies, and things have been a little better. I remember the first time I did atkins getting my fats was a big problem too, I remember I always had to make a real effort to get them up where they belong.

I just up everything when I'm hungry, fat, protien, and veggies (plus I' have fruit, nuts, legumes). Eating a big meal keeps me going for sometimes eight hours and it kills cravings for bad foods.

Drinking water is key to appetite supression. Are you getting 2+ liters a day?
