as i was fumbling around the kitchen trying to decide exactly what i wanted for lunch today, i suddenly remembered something my mom used to fix regularly in the summertime as a side to sunday supper. I couldn't believe that it was actually something induction friendly...........wilted lettuce.....i'm not sure if everyone has ever had it, but it is so very easy to make.......just heat up some bacon grease in a skillet.....it needs to get pretty hot. put some lettuce and green onions in a bowl, then once the grease is hot, just pour it over the lettuce and onions, stir and enjoy......

you can even add bacon to it, just fry some up and then use the grease you have from the bacon to pour over the veggies.....

it's so very good and the onions are what really gives it its flavor.

would love to hear any feedback about any thoughts on this recipe, or anyone who tries it, let me know what you think.

PS, this is the end of my 3rd day, and am feeling great, can't believe i left this woe, am very glad to be back and wish all of you great success as you venture on through this journey of healthy eating and living.

That sounds very good! My favorite childhood recipe is what put me in this position in the first place. It's not even a recipe really, but I loved buttering up a slice of bread and sprinkling sugar on it. Now, I think it's a very sick thing to do. lol

we call that killed lettuce ( or any green) It is one of my favorite ways to have greens but we pour it on at the table and listen to the greens sizzle and pop.

Childhood favorite recipe isn't induction friendly ansd an OWL rung 8 potato sailboats but I'm sure faux taters would work. she made smashed potatoes with butter and tater and made a mound on our plates sticking a cheese triange in it as the sail
