  • happy mother's day

first of all happy mother's day to all the mom's.

secondly i'd like to tell you all about how great my mom was today in helping with my diet. she's always cooked dinner on sunday's even mother's day. says she'd rather cook and have all of her children at home and spend quality time with us than go out to a noisy restaurant and not be able to enjoy our company.

she fixed a wonderful meal but made sure that she fixed plenty of things my DH and myself could eat. she made a pork roast, served a big salad, had green beans, fresh veggies like cucumber, green peppers, and onions and also fixed wilted lettuce. all of which we could eat. of course she had other sides like mashed potatoes, and sweetend, cooked carrots. which we both passed on, but she really made an effort to have things we could eat and enjoy.

then for dessert she made sf peach jello, i hadn't even had any of that since i started back on this woe, but allowed myself a small serving.

it was wonderful to spend the day with her and she was so thoughtful to have things we could eat.

i hope all of you mothers had an enjoyable day with your kids. i just wanted to share this experience of support with all you and to also thank you for the support i receive here on a daily basis. even if i am just reading post from others or post myself i feel like the info and support i receive here has helped me through what i intend to be a new life for myself

    what a sweet mom!
it's great when people support you, I get tired of: "just one meal wont hurt"
my mom helps me brainstorm foods, and helps me feel proud of what Im doing

    yeay for great moms!
