Hi everyone! My name is Heather. I am 27 and mother to three of my own and two step kids (15, 9, 4, 3, 1) I am a stay at home mother right now and I am also studying to take the Bar Exam in July. I first tried Atkins in 2003, just after my daughter was born. I went from 224 down under 150. After my last child I have dieted on and off and I am now at 180. I admit that not to long ago I was around 160, but lost the urge to diet. Today (Monday) I am starting my diet again. So far I had two scrambled eggs with cheese and 32 oz. of water. I am looking for someone to encourage me, diet with me and talk. I am a Christian woman who places God at the center of my life. I am also looking for encouragement with exercise as it is often the most difficult aspect for me. PLEASE HELP!

Welcome.

Re: New (again) and Looking for Help
No temptation shall seize you except that which is common to man God is faithful and he will not let you be tempeted beyond that which you can bear. But if you are tempted, he will provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. I Corinthians 10:13. Isn't it wonderful to know that God will not let us be tempted beyond which we can bear?Beginning Date: January 22, 2008

Re: New (again) and Looking for Help
Hey Heather - I definitely know how you feel. I started in 04, lost weight, then gained it back. In fact, it's happened a few times, so I've been in your shoes. This is the best thing you can do for yourself though, by coming back here and taking the first step, and asking for help and inspiration.
You can do it. Based on how successful you've been in the past, I can tell you have the strength and willpower required... I just restarted today too.
What is your fitness plan, and how do you plan to exercise?

Re: New (again) and Looking for Help
Well it's day 2. Feeling okay, excited to see the scale headed in the right direction. Just got up. I have no exercise plan. I am still trying to see how I can figure that into my schedule... so busy. Today I have a Varsity soccer game in the evening -- until 6:30 p.m. Maybe sometime after that I can get in a walk. Thanks for the encouragement!Beginning Date: January 22, 2008

You are welcome to pm me anytime you feel like, I too have 3 children and 2 stepchildren (16,14,8,4,3) I also stay at home and am going back to school when my son starts pre-k in the fall. I have been having trouble lately staying committed I am 30 years old I started at 303/255/120 I was down to 249 but my lack of commitment has put on a few pounds. I am re-re-re starting today I have come here for some support. I am 30F 5'2"
I am sure you will do just fine remember your water, legal foods when you are hungry and exercise.
So remeber you can pm me anytime about anything, I know blended families can be a stressful situation, but that is nothing compared to eating healthy
