Well I finally hit 20 lbs. down!

  • Well I finally hit 20 lbs. down!

    Hey, well my little scale finally hit a 20 lb. loss for me. I started on January 20th of this year so that is 4 months averaging 5 lbs. a month. I wish I could be a quicker loser but I guess that is not in my cards. I am estatic to have reached where I am. I am now doing OWL and entering the dairy rung so we'll have to see if that makes me a quicker loser or slows me down. Are there any other slow losers out there that seen an increase in loss after moving further into OWL? Anyhow I am now ready for the next 20 lb. loss.

    Jan. 23/07 - 154 - 29 lbs.
    Aug 16 - 153 - 30 lb. mark

    Hooray Atkid!

    I didn't have ANY problems with Dairy. In fact, I haven't had a problem with anything except portion control on the nuts. Steadily been losing 2lbs/week on average. This week 2.6 (actually 3.6--and I'm on TOM!!!!)

    Soooooo, eat up, eat up....cheesecake, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, etc. etc.!! You'll never know until you try!!!!!

        if your body was deficient in any micronutriant moving to OWL can help you get back intobalance again and speed you up.

          Thanks all, I am feeling more confident about reaching my goal now that I have made it to the 20 lb. mark.

            Great for you!! Excellent. Very nicely done. That is truly an accomplishment.

            I never had any trouble with dairy. Go for it. You can always back down.

            1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
            what the rungs mean to me:
            rung 1 - more veggies
            rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
            rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
            rung 4 - berries, melon
            rung 5 - wine -
            rung 6 - beans, hummus
            rung 7 - other fruits
            rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
            rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
            Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
            (on to pre-maintenance)

                    Congratulations, that's fabulous! Next time you go to the grocery store, pick up 2 ten pound bags of potatos and think to yourself ... I NO LONGER CARRY THAT AROUND!

                      Congrats...I am sure you are feeling good about this. I would love to hear more from 2big about nutrients bringing balance so your system looses weight...2big, could you elaborate.
