  • i'm back in the saddle again!

i start tomorrow morning. unfortunately, i have not planned out my meals... at least not like i wanted to... but i did do a little prep work this evening... and tomorrow my day will start off with 3 scrambled eggs... i have 4 string cheese sticks set aside for my 4 oz of allowable cheese a day in case of the need to snack... i also have 2, 1/2 cup bowls of brocolli, one of which i'll have with lunch and one with dinner, so i don't spike my blood sugar levels and i also have a few bonless chicken breasts thawing. i have enough going right now to get me through the first 2 days... after that, as you guys know, things become more manageable. oh, i also cleared out the soda and will be drinking water only, again.

the ONE thing i'm scared of is... i cannot do this without monitoring my progress... so tomorrow i have to weigh in. i'm scared to see what it's going to say. i know it's going to be higher than i have ever seen it and i don't know how i'm going to take that... but i'll get over it. i have also made a commitment this time to stay away from the scale... i want to weigh in tomorrow and then again in one week to make sure the weight is moving... after that, it will be in 1 month incriments.

    wish me luck all.

Good luck Cobra Dan. You don't "have to" weigh in. You can guage your progress by your clothes, or a tape measure. Sounds like you're fairly well prepared. I always feel hungriest the first few days of induction, so make sure legal foods are at an arms length so you don't cheat out of desperation.

At least you can say to yourself 'This is the last time I will see that weight'!

BTW - brocolli is on the 1 cup list, so you need to get some 2-3 cup veggies in there !
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
