  • New STAC Member with Induction Question

I'm restarting tomorrow, so tonight I'm planning my menu and playing around with fitday to get some meal ideas. Here's my quandry. I want to stay to the 65/5/30 as much as possible, but I'm trying my damndest and coming up 61/3/36. Here's my meal for tomorrow:

Is this close enough to be good enough?

I can't get to your menu on fitday. Try posting the link for your personal journal in fitday into your siggie on ADBB. Check out my signature so that you can see what the link should look like.

I struggle with making the proportions balance out, too. If I'm going to err, I'd rather have more fat, and less protein because our bodies can turn protein into glucose, and we'll burn that not fat.

Since I can't see what you have listed, be sure you get all your veggies in (3 cups salad vegetables or 2 cups of salad vegetables + 1 cup other acceptable veggies for induction).

    Best of luck to you.
    June Goals
    1. Continue with water
    2. Use bike more (3x per week would be nice).
    3. Continue with videos.
    4. Go to the YMCA for water classes.
    5. Build stamina for more walking.

    Goals for May:
    1. Water every day - at least 100 oz.
    2. Walk through Wal Mart instead of ride.
    3. Post every day.
    4. Get the exercise bike out of basement and use it!
    5. Re-read DANDR! It's been too long.

Don't be fanatic with fitday. As long as your are keeping your carbs around 20 you should do fine. The percentages will always be off a little bit.

Plan your meals around pleasure. What will fill you up, satisfy you, and meet induction requirements?

Re: New STAC Member with Induction Question

The link posted is just the general fitday one.
To allow people to see your account you need to make your account public.
To do this once you have logged into your account just click on the 'HOME' tab and then scroll right down to the bottom of the page and click on the button called 'Make my journal public'
You will be given a url to copy/paste here. It will end something like 'owner=yourname'.
        Hope this helps

Oh - and it might be better to post it into the 'Review my menu' forum to get more input from the more experienced members and stop it getting lost amongst general induction queries.
