  • It has begun!

I started induction (again) a couple of days sooner than planned. I'm feeling really good about it. I'm doing even more strict of an induction. I'm not doing ANY sweet foods or drinks at all for the first two weeks. I've got a bit of a caffine headache (no caffeine either) but they dont last long. About the only thing I'm dreading is the constipation that plagued be on the first induction. It almost made me give up last time. I drink plenty of water (I'm a water drinker anyway). I'm hoping that it's less severe this time around. I may put my measurements and photos on here as we go, but I'm not really that extroverted

    Everyone wish me luck!

you gotta sneak that fiber in wherever you can...

Yeah, I've tried that , the capsules and the ground flax seed. Nothing seemed to work. I should add that it was temporary, but miserable part of the whole thing. I will ask the wife to pick some up on the way home from work. Thanks for the reply. I changed back to the nightshift so its 6 AM and time for bed!

Well, so far this has been a snap. I've hopped right back onto the horse and am feeling in stride. As well as a three legged horse can stride.. Horsemeat is lo carb! LOL Anyway, I've gotten only a bit of a headache and recurring "oooops" as I head for the fridge for something. I basically started sooner than I was totoally prepared, but I don't need anything real fancy or exotic when I'm doing the induction. I've lived primarily sausage patties and eggs for breakfast, Beef patties and a green salad for dinner and pretty much another breakfast when I get home in the morning. I'm pretty boring and can practically live on eggs and meat. I am drinking well over a liter and a half of water a day (more sometimes) and have only had decaf coffee with heavy creme as a relaxer at the end of he day. I have not had anything sweet except for the toothpaste. I'm not sure how the doggie toothpaste would be, but I'm not that weird about this yet. I'm feeling really good but a bit lost still. I have seemed to pick up the lack of an appitite sooner than I did the last time. I need to start hitting the YMCA in the AM but there is a bout an hour of lag time between when the time I get off from work and the time that the Y opens.

Sounds like you are off to a good start, fozzy

If you can get some veggies into each meal - maybe some mushrooms with the eggs and sausage patties it will help to spread your 3 cups of veggies across the day and even out any blood sugar spikes!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

I've been using mushrooms quite a bit. I also tried some broiled eggplant with grated cheese on the top... not too bad! I'm not going near the scale until the two week induction is overwith.

Eggplant with cheese melted on top is my latest favourite easy-to-cook veg too!
