    im gonna get it right i really am. im so embarrased to keep coming on here but meanwhile im miswerable for not being on here. i think 350 pounds is big enough.

        I know how you feel.
        I am not sure what I weigh but its around 230 on a 5'2 frame. (I trashed my scale and not plan on buying one)
        Something MUST be done! We dont want to live our lives like this!

              No, not at all, i just joined in and wished you luck too - I wish myself good luck on my own haha (sometimes i think i need it) . I knew thats what you ment when i read it. And its great to talk to someone else who just started out too!

                My first two days didnt go so well, now that my kitchen is ready i think i will do fine! So today is really day one. If the three of us (and other newbies) stick to this board, we will do fine! i am already getting some cravings now at 3:30 pm.
                If it gets worse I will go make me some herbal tea!

                  I've just come to the point where if i crave something, i drink water -- lots of it.
                  From reading other materials and peoples' posts, i get it that your not supposed to crave anything, all craving should go away (this is what they say) so whenever i am craving something i say to myself "you are not doing something right" so i review everything and try to ge on track again.
                  My first two weeks didnt go so well either - i didnt read the book and was just going off of what i heard from others (who did a "ghetto" atkins type thing - just protein, but ate nuts, etc). So after about a week and a half, i got the book, bought myself the journal (goes along with the book) to write everything (and i love it). I guess my "first" induction i jsut didnt get it. i mean, i still dont really get it, but i am doing much better this week then i had been in the previous two... cutting back certain things, eating more veggies & a variety of veggies. Since i started, i have no intentionally eaten any carbs, but i was not so sure about the hidden carbs - i am still working on that... if you want to send me private messages about how you are doing or whatever, feel free!
