Every once in a while I feel the same way. I've had exactly 3 since January. And guess what? Each time I took a couple sips and threw the rest away...it was so sickeningly sweet. If you have it in addition to your required water, go for it.

Make sure that the one can of diet Dr. Pepper you are having doesn't become 3 a day.... and that it doesn't set off horrible cravings again. If it does you'll need to grit your teeth through them and stick with the plain water. Some people have absolutely no problem with aspartame, or having sweet type foods and for others it's a dangerous road. Tread carefully!!!

well, i drank the soda hours ago and all is still good. no more desire to have a soda and no cravings were set off. looks like i can occassionally enjoy a diet soda.
I had hoped to avoid diet soda completely, simply because it's not particularly healthy... however I have had some nasty cravings that only a diet soda could contain. I drank a small can today and then felt alright... it doesnt cause any problems with me either, though i dont think, as I said, it's the best choice for anyone by any means
I will admit I do the diet soda thing. I don't think its the sweet taste...its the fizz. But it does cause cravings for me, and it sometimes makes me only want more. I have to be very careful.
