Do you feel better than you felt when you started? More energetic, etc.? Do your clothes fit better?

Maybe it's working a bit slowly for you, scale-wise. But if you feel better and the inches are going down, then it's all good.

              Re: yeah, i'm pretty upset

my wife tells me i look better... but i can't say for sure.

yeah, i'm pretty upset for sure. i'm trying so hard this time! i'm being very strict with my cheese intake and beleive, that is hard for me.

i will weigh in again tomorrow... i'm pretty sure i over did it on the sodium intake yesterday.. it won't make a big difference, but after i release some of this damn water, it should be a better number. and now it looks like i'm going to have to weigh in every week to make sure i'm losing. if i had weighed in last monday, i would have caught this earlier and been able to make the changes i needed to... oh well, just gonna keep on pressin' on.

Well if this helps you- my father is doing Atkins with me and he started at 250 6ft tall. Well he did not lose a singal pound for the first two weeks then after a month he was only 2 pounds down. Now after three months he was 213 this morning and looking very good indeed.

Cobra Dan, I want you to know how much your posts have been helping me. I'm one of those people who comes here for a while and then disappears and then comes back again. I "lurk" a lot. And this time around, I've noticed a lot of your posts -- very introspective, positive, thoughtful, etc. So . . . you must be doing something right, somewhere along the line, because you're being a positive influence on at least one person.

Dan, are you on any medication? Many times medication can slow you down. Are you drinking your water? I know for myself Crystal light, sodium, and hidden nitrates in foods keep me at a stand still. Do you like Zuccinni? I am a cheese-aholic myself and I find if i slice up Zuccinni like chips and snack on them it helps with my crazy cheese craving. I drink Crystal light as a desert or extra as long as i have my daily intake already achieved.

                        Good Luck,
                        Keep us posted.

i actually stay away from crystal light as it has aspartame in it. i make kool-aid and i used sweetzfree (liquid sucralose) as my sweetner. but yeah, i really can't stomach Zuccinni.

Are you drinking your water? Half your weight in ounces every day. Another thing I noticed is it seems you like pork rinds. I had to cut them out of my daily intake, because they were causing me to hold water due to the sodium. Have you tried fitday.com? Its free, and it really helped me to pin point my problem areas, and it helps me stay in the magic percentages: 65% fat, 5 % carbs, 30 % protein. Once I started those numbers, my weight started dropping alot faster. I had lost 80 pounds before I fell off the wagon. Good luck.
