  • a question =/

    Well, when i first restarted i was doing okay.. but i've noticed in the past for days that my weight will fluctuate 1-2 pounds.. and then the next morning when I check my weight, I weigh even less?

    I didn't weigh myself as much when I was first on this, so i wouldn't have known if this happened or not.. is this normal?

    Yesterday, i was down to 218.. this morning, i wake up and I'm 220 again =(

    I even played my little DDR thing yesterday.. (though not as much)

    it is perfectly normal for one's weight to fluctuate from day to day... even hour to hour.
    i'm assuming you're female... as most members here seem to be... so this is even more true for you, due to hormonal fluctuations and whatnot.

    my best advice is: stay OFF of your scale. weigh in no more than once a week. do your weigh in at the same time, on the same day every week.. i recommend doing it 1st thing in the morning right after you wake up and use the bathroom.

        My weight can fluctuate up to 5 pounds from day to day. I do have a problem retaining water big time which can add the 5 pounds in a day. I weigh too much too but it does help to see when I eat salty stuff or caffine that I retain that water and don't lose anything and sometimes gain until I get rid of that water. And lately everything I don't make myself and leave all of the salt out tastes incredibly salty to me.

          I agree...stay off the scale more than once a week. Its an unnecessary discouragement. I can gain 10 in a day, and lose it by the next...especially after exercising. Just keep on steady as you go, and that weight drop will get bigger every time you get on the scale...once a week that is!

            i think i figured it out...

            margarine =110 sodium...

            DUN DUN DUN

            In anycase, i am indeed trying to stay off of the scales.. only once a week.. got it..

            but instead of having the margarine, i'm going to go back to using the parkay butter spray.. because i don't think it had any.. i could be wrong.. but i notice that when i started using the margarine in my eggs instead of the parkay (i'm weird.. i like a butter taste in my eggs).. then i lose it slower or "gained"....
            another reason for this fluctuation is because i just got off of my... um.. you know what.. maybe that's why? is that even possible...? blah >>

              isn't margarine and that butter "spray" low fat alternatives to Butter?

              it is my understanding that you are to stay away from stuff like that and use the luxerious items... like real butter.

                That could be your problem right there. Margaine isn't good for us at all... Dr A only allows real butter. Switch to that and see how you do.

                Good luck!
