Taking your measurements is more accurate. The scale can be discouraging.

      Re: NO Scale

I would definitely go with measurements over weighing. I've only lost a pound in the past week, but I've lost over 6 inches. I agree with STACKristine, a scale can be very discouraging!

        Re: NO Scale

I wish I had the nerve to throw my scale away,b ut I just can't. It won't tell me what I want to hear and has been at the same weight for over a month now. The measuring tape, on the other hand, has become my new best friend. So yes, measurements are enough.

If you have a doctor, you might jump on his/her scale now then at another time just to get an idea of how much you've lost by the time you feel and look good to yourself. Then you can brag about the pounds, too.

I agree with Kate, try to get on a doctors scale to begin with so you know where you started. Then use the tape measure for day to day comparison.

            Re: NO Scale

Measurements are better than scales. Scales can be frustrating and misleading. I'm totally addicted to mine, even though I know better. I need to get my measurements logged.

              Re: NO Scale

I'm thinking you're the luckiest person to not own a scale

Clothes, how you feel, and the tape are all great measures if you need something to go by.

              Best wishes!
