  • About 10th time around, Arrrrrrrrrrr

Well, I have started and stopped Atkins so many time. I feel really embarrassed to keep coming back here after I have failed. For the last month I have been eating Low Fat and ive hardly lost anything. What I lost in a month I lost in a week on Atkins last time. I just cant spend another summer like this at this weight and missing out on so much. Im 27 and I have wasted nearly all of my 20's being extremely overweight.

This has got to stop right now, I have to gain control of myself and my cravings. I eat as a reward when things go well and a comfort when im stressed and when im bored or just because its there. I dont want food to have a hold on me anymore. Now is the right time for me to do this for life.

Oh and by the way, I went on a low fat forum and I have never seen so many catty, nasty people. All they did was post sarcastic, horrible posts. On ADBB everyone is lovely and really care about helping people succeed. So thank you all for being you

Me and My hubby are starting on Monday and im going to try and post everyday because I think that helps especially when you slip up and try to hide away then it all goes to pot. But if you post it makes you accountable and you get the advice and support you need.

Anyway, sorry for rambling on. Thanks for listening!

Ok, well... I will be the first of many to welcome you!!!! Dont be embarresed about coming back to atkins... That just proves that you know this works! So now is your time to make a commitment and do it! You deserve this!

Someone here said in a different post that chocolate is not your friend... That really spoke volumes to me! So I will tell you this: The very thing that you run to for comfort or for celebration (food), it does not celebrate with you! It is not passionate about you like you are of it! This is your time to put those carbies in the garbage once and for all! This time make it about you! Even if you dont see results in pounds right away, you will feel so much better!

    Welcome back my friend!

              Hi jodidi! Welcome back!

Don't feel embarrassed! At least you're coming back and trying again instead of giving up completely. I'm totally with you on the emotional eating thing. Rewards, comfort, we feed our bodies with junk, and it's a horrible thing to try to change. I had a bit of a meltdown last night because I refuse to give in to my cravings.

I've tried a low-fat/low-cal diet before (several actually!) and every time I've been irritable, b*tchy, and have lost next to nothing. Atkins is good and it really works without starving youself...but you know this!

It's a good thing you've been here before, you're already familiar with your surroundings! Are you going to start a journal and some challenges?

Make sure you reread the allowed foods list in case anything has slipped your memory, and come here regularly to read and post to keep yourself focussed.
