    So, I was off of work for the fourth of july, 5, AND 6.. My parents were out of town....and it was just me, WOW (world of warcraft..haha)... and a LOT of cereal >>;;;

    They left a note about the hamberger meat in the freezer... did i pay it any mind?

    No... the cereal was easier to get to ><....

    But... Where i usually would have gained 5 pounds... I only gained 1.5 o_O.... Why is that? weird.. Well, in anycase, i can't let myself stoop that low again.. I mean, yeah.. only gaining 1.5 pounds is not that bad.. but i don't need to get into the habit of thinking "I can have one cheat day a week" because one will turn into two, and that into three and so on and so forth.. =(

    You really can't cheat on Atkins. Any other diet it's like, "oops, I slipped, back on the horse tomorrow". On Atkins if you throw yourself out of Ketosis you have a day or two of just trying to get back into it. It's a good thing to think about before you start eyeing up that cereal again. I always try to think on that before I slip. Of course I know just what your going through. I made chocolate chip cookies for my daughter a couple days ago. Whenever I open the fridge EVERY fiber of my being wants me to eat one. I actually feel a physical craving. You know, it's hard, but we have to keep our "eyes on the prize". Good Luck!

      Hi!

      I know exactly how you feel.

      I was at 175 (and sort of stalled) after losing 20 pounds on Atkins. Then on Halloween night 2004, I wound up eating the Halloween Candy and I am now on my second day of real induction. I didn't gain it all back (just sort of gained 10 pounds, lost 5 pounds etc) doing very casual low carb.

      So you have all my sympathy. I have done this over and over.

      Anyway, I really have struggled a lot this way of eating, and is mostly has to do with trying to do Atkins the easy way, instead of the right way. One thing that I know helps is variety of the legal food sort.
