  • Bit of a relapse

I had to go to Nashville last week because of a death in the family. It was very emotional, and as deaths-in-the-family go, it was one of the worst to handle. My aunt's home was loaded with salads and casseroles so that is what we ate. I sensed right away that I was not sticking to plan for this trip so instead I just stayed away from the brownies and cake and made sure I wasn't overeating. I didn't want it to turn into the old I'm-breaking-my-diet-so-I'd-better-enjoy-it thing. We got back home last night and I'm back on plan today.

It's great that you had the will to be conscious of what you were eating, and got back to business when it was time.

        Re: Bit of a relapse

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. Sometimes though we just have to do what we have to do and you did make the choice to stay away from the sweet sugary trap and that worked out for you. Better choices is what it is all about.

Now that you are home and back on plan you will whip your self right back to where you want to be.
