    I just wanted to pop in and say Hello.
    Hopefully, we're going to be seeing A LOT of each other for a while
    Here's my story (Probably not unlike a whole lot of others...)
    I did Atkins with great success from 2003-2004 (I lost 80lbs that year) and since then, I've been yo-yoing about 10lbs or so.

    I've had medical issues and other stresses (moving, job change, etc) I have been off track soooooo many times over the past 2 years. I get off track, gain back ~10lbs, panic I'm going to gain it all back, then start dieting hard core.
    ugh...

    A few months ago, when I realized there was something wrong (Insulin Resistant/Hormonal imbalance) that could be keeping me from losing weight, well then I sort of gave up all together. I mean what was the point of trying to lose weight, if I was sick and it wasn't' going to happen?
    Now I'm medicated, settled in my new house and my new job. I have run out of excuses and I have a brand new motivation. MY HEALTH.
    Who cares, really, if I ever wear a size 6. I've got to continue to eat healthy/low carb meals so that my blood sugar and insulin remain stable, and so that I prevent future health problems.

    I'm on day 2 of my re-induction and so far so good. I'm a little nauseous/dehydrated from the medication.....but I'm back on the right track.
    I need your help to make it a 14 day CLEAN induction. But I KNOW I can do it

    I'm looking forward to meeting those of you I don't know!

    Hi Rosa, welcome to the ADBB and back to Atkins! You've come to the right place for support.

    Check out the Journal Chats section...it's where you'll really get a lot of support and get to know people here. It's like a big family that supports you the whole way...cheers you on and gives you a swift kick in the pants when you need it.

              Welcome Rosa, I am on day seven myself and this board makes so much differance. There are so many great people here and you can learn so much. I am so glad you are on your meds and it seems you have a very good attitude about wanting to get healthy. That is main reason we all want to lose the weight, to get healthy. So, just keep that in your mind at all times and you will do great. Read all you can here and the fact that you lost 80 pounds on Atkins before says it all, you will do great , you have even more motivation now than you did then !!
