    making sure I get this right I have not had any veggies at all yet.. I am getting a bit hungry and would liek to snack on 1 cup sliced cucumber.. so if that is the case... that means I still have 2 cups of salad left for today right? BUT... no adding nions, tomatoes as I already will had eaten my 1 cup cucumbers.. am I right?

    Well thats right, but you shouldn't snack on straight carbs, add some cheese and some dressing with fat for a perfect snack

        cucumber is included in the salad veggie list, so you could still have 1 more cup of salad and 1 cup of other veggies, or 2 cups of salad or 1 or so cups salad veggies with some non salad veggies (tomato, etc)

        also, it says you posted that at 5pm, you really need to spread out your carbs throughout the day (and yes, mix them with fat/protein), not save them all for evening. I am bad at doing this too, at least for breakfast, but I always make sure to have a salad for lunch.
        Sorry everyone. I've had to abandon Atkins. After slipping up, I gained back everything and more. I fully believe in and support Atkins, I know it works, but it's too hard for me. I'm following my own plan now, exercising more, eating less in general and healthier, still focusing more on veggies and fruits and whole grains and much less processed junk and bad carbs. I still visit here occasionally, so I will keep my stats listed here when I do. I wish everyone the best on this program or any others that work for you.

        11-10-07: 210/146/125 - more than 60 pounds lost this year!

          Thanks!!! I will try to make me snack earlier on something.. I normally would have a salad at dinner time... so if I will have a veggie snack I need to make it at lunch or sooner!
