  • bacon?

i don't know why i'm so skeptical, but I still can't believe you can eat *all the fat you want* on this diet. is it really true?

i love bacon and serve in a restaurant. obviously we have bacon up all day, so over the course of the day i probably have 10 pieces. i feel like i must gain weight from it. and even if i don't, this must be terrible for my heart, right?

    any input?

    Re: bacon?

Well . . . I dont think anywhere in DANDR does it say 'eat all the fat you want'

I would be more worried about the sodium and nitrates in the bacon if it were me.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

      Agreed, Elizellen.

The sodium will definitely bog you down, especially if you're really sensitive to it.

I like bacon, but I don't eat it more than 2-3 times a week, and only 2-3 slices when I do. It's extremely calorie dense, and while we don't have to count calories it doesn't mean that calories don't count.

Bacon is a lovely benefit of this way of eating. It really is, but as with all things - moderation is key.

Eat when you are hungry. Definitely not "as much as you want". I buy low sodium bacon. I've yet to find a sugar free bacon that doesn't have nitrates, so I eat bacon in moderation.
