Vitamin C!
Decongestant tablets would probably be ok, as would painkillers like tylenol if you have a headache. Some of them might contain caffeine but if you're really feeling like a truck has run over you it's worth risking that. As long as you stay away from the sweetened liquid stuff like robitusson or sore throat lozenges you should be ok.Female

Thanks sooo much!!!!! My kids gave me whatever they had and they are getting over it with meds but I am bad LOL I am just congested mostly.. and I hate for me to get them sick again LOL

As long as the medicine is in a non-chewable tablet or caplet, it should be ok, just read the labe to make sure ingredients are ok for you (some have caffeine); and help yourself to chicken soup, and use lemon juice in your water. There are also some syrups made especially for diabetics, which you can check the labels of for any carbs.~Susan

I can't believe I didn't mention the non-chewable part when it comes to vitamins and medicine! I was *thinking* it, just hit Post before making sure I'd included that tidbit! The chewables are *loaded* with sugar so yeah they are definately out. Anything made for kids and cold/flu hot drinks like Neo Citron are probably stuffed full of sugar to taste good I'm sure. Be very careful and read the labels.Female

Hey ~ feel better, Loana! That sucks that you have a cold. I always like to breathe in Vics vapor rub when i have the sniffles... although my husband can do without it. He says i am too stinky to sleep with then! Hee hee...
