This weekend I went over to Oklahoma City to visit some family, they are all about the Pan Dulce con Cafe every morning like clock work. So I get up early Saturday morning at my aunts house and it's to the grocery store for me, picked up some cream cheese, some flaxseed, some vanilla eggs and other stuff. I get to the house and start cooking up stuff, make my tea and my aunts start dropping by.. "sniffing, um.. what's that?" starting at my freshley cooked Mock Danish! a piece here a bite there from her and from mother and who ever else walks by the table... they are loved it.. so I sat there and talked about Atkins, the Danish for a good hour! Off they go the the store to buy ingredients for the mock Danish.. lol.. they all agreed that this would be a good substitute to their pan dulce..
I thought that was awesome, they picked up something from me! lol
Mexicans traditionally consume all types of bread, I mean really all types and we have all types of crazy names for them...
Gendarmes (policemen), llaves (keys), cuernitos (horns), alamares (frogs), palomas (doves), besos (kisses), moƱos (bows), corbatas (ties), banderillas, campechanas, magdalenas, orejas (ears), garibaldis, conchas (shells), calzones (underwear), cocoles and pelonas (bald ladies).

So I just feel great, knowing that extended family has picked up on a new healthy habit from my WOE
