wonder if they put any sort of breading.. I will ask them...
I should be ok with a steak and a salad on side right? as long as they do not marinade the steak on anything illegal?

            Loana,

where are your veggies?? You need to be having them and spreading them out through the day.

Okay, that said...now to the fun stuff...If it were me, I'd get any of the steaks or those medallion kabobs look great. For an appetizer, the shrimp and avacado Cocktail sounds fabulous. Sides, get the steamed broccoli or steamed spinach.

Man, I wish we had one of those restaurants here...yummmmmmmm

              Re: Texas Land and Cattle

Thanks girly!!! I am always afraid if I eat veggies during the day than I am out and canot have enough for a salad.. I know we are allowed to 3 cups of salad.. but if I add tomatoe, cucumber, onions and 2 cups of salad that's the same as 2 cups and 1 cup veggies right? I am always confused sooo much with my veggies and just end up skipping them
              Thanks

                Re: Texas Land and Cattle

ok so I ordered with my BIL for appetizer the shrimp and avocado cocktail... I asked the waited if it was ok for atkins and he went and asked the cook andhe came out saying it was like mayo and chipotle so I went for it.. served myself about 2tbs on my plate and passed the rest to my BIL... well.. as soon as I took a bite I knew the guy lied to me.. I could taste nothing spicy but very sweet tomato stuff so Ia m sure it was loaded in freaking ketchup.. dang it
soooo I was done with that and I had order the 7oz sirloin. it came covered withcheese and mushrooms.. I tried to be brave and tried to eat mushrooms but nope.. still don't like them so I put them aside.. and than I had as a side broccoli.. it was way too m,uch in y plate so I ate about 1/2 or a bit less.. and than before that I had a house salad.. maybe 1 1/2 cup of salad and I added my own caesar salad dressing that I took with me!
So I think overal I did not do too bad.. everyone ate dessert but me.. but that's ok.. I was ok knowing I would loose weight and not them.. naah naah naaah lol

                  Re: Texas Land and Cattle

It sounds like you did great!!!

I remember back in the day that whenever I used tomato sauce, I always ADDED sugar to it otherwise I couldn't eat it...now though, just plain tomato sauce is sOoooooo sweet to me, I'd swear it had added sugar...oftentimes I double check and sure enough, no added sugar.

So, my point is...it might have been okay. In the future, instead of asking is it okay for Atkins, ask them what the ingredients are. Don't let them decide...because they might not have a CLUE what Atkins is.

It's perfectly fine that you only wanted to eat 1/2 of your dinner. I hope you packed it up and brought it home for leftovers today!!! You should only be eating until you are full.

                  Don't stress over vegetables!!

During induction my salads would be like this:
1 cup lettuce (preferably spring mix)
                  4 slices cucumber
3 or 4 cherry or plum tomatoes
                  2 red onion rings
                  shredded cheese
                  sliced olives

Breakfast would be an omelete with some chopped up onion and mushroom and tomator. Then for dinner I'd have a 1/2 cup of a hot vegetable.

Don't be afraid of the vegetables. YOU NEED THEM. Just keep them to 3 cups a day for the first two weeks and then move into rung1 and have more of them! You just can't go wrong with veggies!
