  • Celebration VS Paranoia

Well yesterday was my first day back.
for breakfast I had half an omlette with ham, cheese, onions and broccoli, and 2 slices of turkey bacon.
I started snacking on veggies I brought with me to work around 12 with cauliflower, radishes, cucumber, then had a grilled chicken breast w/ cheese on lunch at 1.
    dinner I had shrimp.
    I had -oceans- of water.

I woke up this morning and for giggles I weighed in to see if my first day got any progress (I know I know, slap my hand!)

    ***235???***

    7 lbs overnight???
I'm standing there going "what the crap is up with that??"
I don't want to jump for joy, because thats just... weird, isn't it?? I wonder if my scale was having a laugh at me, so I moved it and tried again. 235.
Whats goin on? Can you -really- lose 7lbs of water in a day?

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

I think I read on here somewhere that if you were eating a huge amount of carbs before starting induction you will lose weight more quickly in the beginning. I think that's why I'm losing quickly too - although 7 lbs in one day is amazing!

I'll easily lose 7 lbs overnight...if I weigh at night and then the next morning, it's nothing for me to be 5-7 lbs less in the morning than in the evening.

In the very very beginning you could have lost that 7 lbs of water weight the first day. Especially if you were carrying a lot around with you.

          Crazy
Last time it took me about 4 days to lost 7 lbs.
In my mind i never count the first week or so to mean anything because its "just water weight" but any weight gone is a good thing, specially if I get a boost like this first thing. I'm always wary of celebrating loss though, cause that was my undoing last time. The whole "I've lost 30 lbs, its ok this one time" thing.

              Re: Celebration VS Paranoia

Don't let it go to your head - it wasn't 7 pounds of fat unless you turned into a power generator last night. The bulk of food, water and salt you had in your digestive system is the first thing to go on induction. Don't be discouraged if the scales still say 235 days from now, because those things fluctuate constantly from day to day, hour to hour.
