Illy do you mind me asking what your starting weight was and what your diet consists of? I am on day 5 and have only lost just under 2 pounds. I have exercied like mad and am on the verge of chucking in the towel if i think this isnt working for me.

      Any help would be great.

By the way congrats on the 9pounds thats awesome.

Re: Second time, after 5 years

Sweetie, take it easy. The scale was stubborn for me at first. Get a measuring tape. (right, everyone??)

I had a few little bumps tp get over, for example I decided that while caffeine might be bad for some, it certainly wasn't bad for me. Same with Aspartame (Nutrasweet) which is in Diet Pepsi which I was never without. I was wrong. I switched to decaf and started using heavy cream, AND (drumroll please) I gave up Diet Pepsi for water, and TONS of it! It's not hard to do that, really. You body is a brilliant thing - the more water you drink, the more water you want...unless you're just doing nothing but drinking water =) Diet Pepsi is way too sweet tasting to me now. I don't really care for it anymore.

As far as my actual diet goes, well I got really tired of bacon & eggs for breakfast and eating straight off the accepted foods list without being creative. The recipes here are great - try them! (make sure the recipes you try are induction-friendly) My favorite is the mock danish and that is breakfast a lot of the time. I have also eaten a lot of chicken with hot sauce mixed with butter. That is really good!

Water is crucial! Drink a lot of it! I drink well over 100 ounces during the day and more in the evenings.

My starting weight was 185 lbs and I am at 172 lbs now. Please don't give up. There may just be some little something you are consuming that's hindering you without you realizing it. It may seem totally harmless. Check the labels =) Every little carb counts and there are other things that can stall you.

Savannah, we can expect to lose between 5% and 10% of the weight we want to lose over the first 14 days of induction.
For you with 11 pounds to lose that would translate into 0.65-1.1 pounds and you have lost 2 pounds in only 5 days
            You are doing GREAT
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

I've lost another inch off my hips although the scale hasn't moved in a few days. I don't expect it to, though, because it's "that time"
