    THIS IS MY SECOND TIME AROUND AND I SWEAR THE RESOLVE I HAVE THIS TIME IS STRONGER THAN ANY I'VE EVER KNOWN. I HAVE A SPECIAL NEW BUDDY WHO I PM EVERYDAY AND SHE AND OTHERS LIKE HER MAKE THIS BOARD WORTHWHILE. THE MODERATORS HAVE BEEN VERY HELPFUL, THE THREADS THAT I'VE READ HAVE BEEN VERY INCITEFUL AND THE RECIPES, OH MY GOD THE RECIPES THEY ARE TO LIVE FOR!! THE ATKINS WAY THAT IS! WHY, I'M EVEN TRYING TO MUSTER UP ENOUGH COURAGE TO JOIN THE BOOTCAMP . ANYWAY FOR ANY SECOND TIME AROUNDER WHO HAS'NT EVER TRIED THIS BOARD GO FOR IT, YOU HAVE EVERYTHING (LBS) TO LOSE!

      Welcome, Thinner08! I am so glad you found a wonderful buddy. Having a buddy to help support you, especially one who is going through the same thing you are, is a true blessing. I met my buddy, Sarah, here on this board last year!!! We talk almost everyday and have gone through a lot together. Even though miles separate us, and we don't "know" each other in the "real world" - she knows more about me and my weight struggles than most of my friends do!

        Welcome thinner08 !! It is a great board and I feel so blessed to have found this wonderful place with all these wonderful and knowledable people. I am learning a lot. It is a great support group !!!

            Say, thinner, I think that you should go for it with the boot camp. I am a graduate and I learned sooo much! Plan to spend a half hour or so each day on it, though. It is so great!

            1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
            what the rungs mean to me:
            rung 1 - more veggies
            rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
            rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
            rung 4 - berries, melon
            rung 5 - wine -
            rung 6 - beans, hummus
            rung 7 - other fruits
            rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
            rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
            Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
            (on to pre-maintenance)
