  • Starting Over on 8/7

    Hi everyone,

Here I am again. Starting over on Monday 8/7. I have been trying to re-start but have not been able to stick to it.

I just see that I need to lose about 60 lbs. and I freak out. I just give up without really trying.

Well I am really tired of it all. I need to lose this weight for my health and for myself. I am tired of being overweight.

I have decided to break up my 60 lb. goal into 10 lb. increments. I will just focus on every 10 lbs. at a time.

So here I go again and I am going to give it my best shot.

To all starting over - WE CAN DO IT. I know we can.

    Laters,
    Thinderella

Welcome back!! I think your strategy will be really helpful. 10 pound increments are a lot easier to deal with than the actual number. We will be here cheering you along!!

Welcome back, sounds like you've got a plan down that will work for you. 10 pounds is 10 pounds, and just keep at it and they will multiply. Good Luck!

Hi Thinderella. I am trying to start back today too. It is only 1pm and I am fighting to stay with it. Wanna be buddies since we are starting on the same day?

I have 100 pounds to lose. I started back about 2 months ago and lost 13 pounds. Then I went through a horribly stressful time and have gained back half of it (I think it's half. I am afraid of getting on the scale).

                Good luck!

                    Hi thinderella,

I also restarted induction. I have 90 lbs to lose. 10 lbs at a time is a great idea. I will use that.

Definately make sure to check this website, even if all you do is read...its very inspireing and full of great info, if you have questions usually someone has already asked them, and it's all in here. The people here are friendly and very supportive...I know I wouldn't have made it as far as I have without this board.

I'm sorry you are struggling. It was so hard on day four for me. Hubby really helped when he insisted we go to the store (even if it meant every day because I forgot something!) to help me along. Having things on hand to grab and eat helps! Back then I was eating sporadically and my hunger came on quickly with a vengence. Now I'm pretty much on a schedule.

You can do it!!! STick with it! It works Hang in there!

Welcome to STAC! I truly believe that if you do what you are saying and take it 10 pounds at a time, one day at a time, you will reach your goal weight. I was encouraged to post an update here everyday just to be accountable and for the support, and it really works! We are here for you!
