How is everyone doing after the weekend?

I had a bit of a rough weekend, but I'm here today and committed to move forward. I have re-evaluated my foods and refreshed my memory on "the book." So I'm ready to go this week. Doing great today. My plan for the week is to incorporate three days of exercise this week for no less than 20 minutes (gotta start somewhere, right?). Though I may try for 30 to 45 and see how I feel.

    Re: Monday Check-In

Morning, Sarah! Morning, STAC! Although we may be pushing into afternoon now with all of you East coast time zoners!

Sarah, sounds like you have a solid plan there! Let me know if there is anything i can do to help! The exercise is key, really. I hated doing it, but really it is the starting that is the hardest part. Once you have your 'routine' down you just do it automatically. You are going to do great, girl!

I am doing pretty well today. I got up at 6:45 (courtesy of Luna - although of course she went back to sleep!) So i figured i might as well get my workout done this morning. Today was "the Firm" again, and it really kicks my butt so i wanted to get it over with. PLUS - busy day today - i am going to meet with my old boss to discuss coming back part time. Wish me luck!!! Lots to do... lots of changes... Hopefully they will agree to pay for me to finish my masters degree!!

I put that scale back up on the shelf until next Sunday! I did measure today and put it into mybodycomp.com, so i can keep track. I figure i'll do that on Sundays too, along with the weigh-in!

      Re: Monday Check-In

      Good Monday morning to all,
It's a great day. I was up at 6am, giving myself time to be on the boards, check email, have my quiet time and take a walk...then I came in and did the real exercise of 20 mins on the bike....sweat like a pig down here in Georgia....humidity is terrible.
this is day 7 for me and my shorts felt looser today...No headache in over 18 hrs...and just a little fatiuge left and I believe that is because I am in need of a bit more potassium, with all the water and sweating down here.

I too have little moments of "roughness' cravings, that pop up. But for the most part I am good. I need some good breakfast ideas and I can't seem to find the receipt on this mock danish... I am ok with eggs but scrambled is not my favorite. I did not want to eat an egg this morning at all.... I have deviled eggs I use for snacks, but I was not up to scrambled with stuff in them...Breakfast is a challenge. I might have to eat lunch or dinner foods before it gets to that place of, "Not one more egg, I can't eat one more egg"...so other than that struggle I am so blessed to have last week out of my way...

        Re: Monday Check-In

Happy Monday gang. I haven't check in with STAC in awhile. I have been doing a lot of whining on Journal Chats, but otherwise, keeping a low profile. I am happy to see the ole gang still hanging around and some new faces as well.

Today was a fresh induction for me again today. I had a little problem over the week-end. Nothing big.

I am glad to hear about your fresh resolve to exercise, Sarah. Good for you. Isn't it silly how tough we make it?

        Have a great day, gang.

          Re: Monday Check-In

          Hi everyone

I'm doing good today too. The only minor issue I'm having is a bit of muscle fatige. I took the kids out last night for our daily bike ride (them in a bike trailer) and I felt really low in energy and my legs felt weak. I just pushed through it and went a bit slower, but I hope this will pass in time.

I'm a daily weigher and was down another 2.2 pounds this morning - so I feel good about that.

The leg fatigue might mean you need more potassium, especially if you are anywhere near the heatwaves.... The south has really caught a break, nothing as bad as those three digit record breakers a week or so ago...
I have found that I needed the extra potassium for fatigue and because we are flushing our system out so much!

Good afternoon, everyone ~ i need to RELAX. I have been dealing with stupid insurance company issues all afternoon since i got home and i am so annoyed... why can't anything be simple? Why do people have to repeat the obvious over and over and over? AHHHH!

Sounds like everyone is having a pretty good day today. That is good...

Congrats to sofarsogood for the 2.2 pound loss! Way to go!

And way to go everyone on the exercise! Woo-hoo!!

Monday Check-In? Count me present and accounted for!

Still on plan; still moving forward. I have a family reunion this weekend and I'm on that big push to see "how low can I go?" before the big day. It was a real boost hitting my mini-goal yesterday (that was a really tough one to meet for me) and finally seeing the finish line within my grasp is an amazing motivator.

Congrats to all of you for all your hard work and commitment. Can you believe we are actually DOING this? After so many failed attempts; so many years of fear, sadness and isolation, it still amazes me when I realize that sticking with this is something I've been able to do for myself.

Anyway. Thanks for the inspiration and support, all. We'll be back in touch soon!

                      S.
