  • Honey im Home ,and need help!

Im back again for the third time. I gave up on Atkins last time when i actually put on weight and have avoided it for fear of gaining more. But now i know it had more to do with not doing it properly than the diet itself. I ate to much butter, cheese and cream last time and didnt exercise as much as a i should have.

I want to lose about 10 pounds on a three week induction do you think that that is possible. My weight has crept up for months now and im at my wits end to get my control and willpower back. I enjoyed atkins because it gave me that structure in my dieting. But to avoid doing it incorrectly and gaining again, id really appreciate guidance from you guys and some critique on my menu plan for tomorrow.

Break: Boiled egg with teaspoon butter

Lunch. 4 slices Roast beef rolled with asparagus

Dinner. Cod loin grilled in butter, cup green salad with olive oil and two table spoons brocolli

Coffee allowance: one cup with one splenda sweetner and two tablespoons double cream coffee

Does this look acceptable chaps. Any advice to help me start on the right foot would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Hi Savanah, I just returned after a hiatus too, it's funny how we know what to do, just got ourselves to stick to the program. I thought your menu looked great, I didn't see anything that jumped out. I too can't give up my little bit of caffeine, but I like mine as iced tea rather than coffee. But I'm sure you know, that they say if you stall or have cravings you really need to give up the caffeine and artificial sweeteners. Give it a shot for a few days and see how it goes, that's what I'm doing, and if I'm not satisfied than bye bye iced tea with sweet n low. Good luck this time around and welcome to the STAC.

      Welcome back!!

I think that 10 pounds during induction is possible. However, please don't let it be a number that if you do not make that goal - you give up!

The menu looks good to me - along with the advise from Lynsey.

      Good luck!

Welcome back, Savannah! I think your menu looks great too... and i do think it is possible to lose 10lbs in 3 weeks. Heck, some people even do it in one... for me it was a bit slower this time, and i was down 8 pounds in 2 weeks. So it is doable! Good luck to you!

I too think your menu looks great. I like the idea of roast beef rolled around asparagus - think I'll try it tommorrow. I usually spread roast beef or turkey with cream cheese then roll it around lettuce, the asparagus would be a good change.

10 pounds in three weeks is very realistic.

do you think i would be overdoing it if i added another coffee and a tablespoon of mayo at dinner. Im not snacking inbetween at all. But if you think this would hamper me any way please please do say. Im trying to be so honest this time around.

I am also doing an hour of vigorous cardio a day at the moment. Will start weight training next week.

GOD HELP ME!!! the girls in the office next door are making toast!!!!!!!! The smell is incredible.

I don't think it would hamper you at all. Just make sure you watch how the coffee affects you. Caffiene may cause carb cravings and/or stalls. But I'm a diet coke drinker and it does not seem to bother me.

I agree with Sarah, watch and see how the caffiene affects you. Sarah is lucky to not be affected! I had to give up my diet coke because it stalls me big time...
