  • How do you survive t.o.m.? (sorry, guys)

I'm absolutely starving, out of the blue. I haven't lost any pounds in a couple of days which is understandable, but good grief - where is this appetite coming from??

I've upped my water intake to see if that helps but so far all I want to do is finish the water so I can EAT something. I'd give someone's left arm for a piece of chocolate, but more than that. I just want food all the time.

Is there something going on that I'm not aware of?

I have had the same experiences with TOM. I started Memorial day and did not cheat until TOM, this month. It got me good for two days, and I jumped back on Induction for a couple days. I try to eat legal food during that time, this time, stress and that evil Tom got me and I caved. bad me.you may feel like you are eating too much legal food, and thats not correct either, but that is what i did in the past to fight it. When I have eaten and feel like I still want more, I break out the cream cheese and eat it with the splenda and vanilla, this always takes care of that problem for me. I try to avoid that at other times of the month and save it for this time. Next time, I will do that early in the day instead of munching all day without satisfaction. There are some other posts on this and there are herbs you can take to combat that. Someone else will have to help with the names, I cannot remember them right now.

Hope you are feeling better soon!

Look in my siggie and there is a TOM link...I think there are a few supplements that others take that will help.

If you find something that helps for you, please post it there.

BTW, if you don't have access to the Woman's Forum, then send a PM to Bren.

        Best wishes!!

I'm just finishing up with my *moon time* this month... (that is what DH calls it.) I stuck on induction okay, and just added that little cream cheese button dessert in here and there, which is induction friendly, on nights where i was really having cravings. A little goes a long way with that, so it worked out great. I retain water bad too, but i did manage to lose this week anyway. Not in inches, but a pound and a half. I might sneak in an extra day on the scale tomorrow though, just to see. Since i now weigh in once a week, but i just finished my TOM today, it will be interesting to see if i am down some of that water weight tomorrow.
