  • Good Monday Morning

Hey everybody, good morning. How are we all doing. I feel like saying, "it's east coast Jess".
All is well here, Atlanta has been enjoying a cool front. I was up at the crack of dawn today, sending my high schooler off to school, standing at the bus stop in long sleeves and shorts....Get me outside in the early morning hours and I feel like it's gonna be the greatest day in the world... key words, "get me out side"...

I have had a good weekend. Made it through a very busy Sunday with amazing energy, and forgot to even grab a snack. Made it through the birthday party on Sat. night and felt empowered.

Today is day 14 for me. I have decided to go one more week on induction.
I have decided to buy a scale to monitor my weight while I go up rungs on the ladder. I have decided to move on the OWL next week, because I would love to stay stuck in this rut, but one day I will just stop and quit...I don't want that...
So basically I am going to force myself to stay true to the book and submit.
I have never done that. I am and have always been an "induction junkie"...

Induction junkie here too. I too am moving up the ladder to add variety to make this my WOE for life! I sure wish I would have done that the first time around. Live and learn!

Send that cool front to Louisiana. My bro lives near Powder Springs.. the kids start school today too Happy First Day to yours!

      Re: Good Monday Morning

My eldest starts kindergarten in a couple weeks. Time flies! It's very cool here in Connecticut, I'm looking at closing the pool a couple weeks early this year. Ours isn't heated and it's like ice! My in-laws have a heated pool, and even then it's nice while you're in but freezing when you come out. I'm feeling pretty good for day 4. I haven't been seriously hit with the induction flu, unless the symptoms are being masked by my cold. My toe is still turning all sorts of lovely colors and I can't manage to fit sneakers on yet! I face teh stairs at work for the second time this morning. I doubt the results will be any different than Friday, but that doesn't mean it's not worth doing

I did the same thing. Two months of induction and I was so bored w/ the food that I cracked. PA is beautiful today but it's going to go to 88 later in the day. Days like today I need to take the kids out early so we can beat the heat. First day of induction.. feeling good about it. I must admit I find the rungs of Atkins somewhat daunting. I will try this time though so I can continue on Atkins the correct way. I can't wait for the kids to start school. I have a long wait though. My daughter turns 2 on Saturday. My son turns 1 in October. It will be nice to have free time but I think I will miss them being at home w/ me.

Starting school changes the dynamics of your time that's for sure, and somewhat changes the pace of your family. Today I walked my 15 yr old to the bus stop. I wondered if I would do that next yr or not. She wanted to learn to drive so much this summer, but when we put it back on her to study and get the learner's permit, she quieted down. She and her Dad where in a head lock, He did not want her to drive, she wants to. I suggested that we allow her to "go for it" and that will actually slow her down...because she is really not quite there emotionally yet...
I will miss her this week, but I will easily begin to fill up my life again.

            Hey STACers!

Happy Monday! I'm hanging in. I had a difficult weekend. I swear, the first time around this was so easy. Now the only thing that comes easily is frustration.

Hope everyone has a great day!!!!

Well I made it up the stairs without paramedic assistance . I took it a little more slowly this time and paused for 30 seconds halfway up. As a result I got there feeling winded but not like I was about to die. My toe does feel like it wants to fall off though. Stopped and got some potassium to help with my leg cramps.

                  Re: Good Monday Morning

I was feeling lazy, so I just walked back down the stairs, and then back up again. Down certainly is easier! Bit snacky this afternoon. I realized that I should be finding higher fat snacks. Jerky's good and all, but it's mostly protein and not fat. I think some fat would bust my snackiness.
