  • Restart Question...

....well not really a restart, more a kick up the bum!!

I've been doing Atkins for nearlly a year now and have lost nearlly 40lbs which is great. However, over the past few months I've not cheated as such I've become quite nonchalent at carb counting and as a result haven't lost any weight - the dreaded carb creep!

What should I do now? Should I go right back to strong induction and "start from scratch" or just lower my carbs to an acceptable level? I've never been out of Ketosis (according to the stix) but am obviously just not on an acceptable level to lose.

    Any help greatly appreciated!

    Re: Restart Question...

Start by counting the carbs again, if you want to loose more weight then eat fewer carbs than your CCLL. You will still be able to choose the foods from you current rung/phase. If you've been holding steady and not gaining then take off a few carbs to lose.

I would go back to induction, but only do the two weeks and then start climbing the rungs. But getting back to basics is what works for me. Depends on the person. If you think that eliminating the other foods would make you less likely to move forward and more likely to cheat, then definitely just start counting your carbs diligently and back it up a little.

      Good luck!!
