  • What's Your focus

What are you focusing on? Me, I am psyched about how I feel. I am focusing on the good feelings I have about myself and how proud I am all of the very hard work I put into a day...
I focus on the peace I have, and the life that is returning to my life.
I come here and focus on the people, and their words and wisdom.
I focus on my day and I look hard for the challenges. Today I have to go to a funeral..I will be gone for probably 4 hours, 10-2p with travel and visiting included... "what are my challenges in this?" "What do I need with me to over come the challenges"...I need food in a little cooler to eat before going in, and after coming out!
I focus on how I am feeling at 8am. I got up two hours ago, I am well into my day and I can tell if it's going to be an energized day or a slow day by this time in my day. I still have the slow days as my body still adjusts to so many years out of control. It takes time to "wear control and carry it"...and our bodies get tired easily as we adjust. I know I will need more than the 18 days I have been back on Atkins to adjust, so I focus on "where I am"...

My focus is not on my weight or my numbers, other than water and time in exercise. The weight will come off if I have the plan firing on all points...
food, water, exercise, knowledge...If I work the plan day in day out, and over come each day, the weight will take care of it's self.
What is your focus, the short term or the long term. Short term is weight..Long term is plan...
Look out, don't look down, look at what we can do with our lives, look over the next hill...Atkins opens the door to life again!!!! Focus and live!

Work the plan and the weight will come off. Each day I log my water consumption and carbs in a notebook. I write notes to myself like "old tight shorts were loose!" I also log my weight daily so I can see a pattern. UP and down and up, up and dooown. That way I know when it goes up that it will be doing down again soon. I also keep a log of my measurements with the dates taken. I try to stop and smell the roses by looking at my body, seeing the changes (even the smallest ones) and acknowledge them. Those are my daily goals.

Long term - I want this for life. I want it to become second nature like my old icky ways were. I just want new ways

Long, long term - I have a wedding in March, my daughter graduates in May. My 40th bday is in July! The rest of my life I want to LIVE IT to the fullest. Weight shouldn't stop you.. but it does to a certain degree.

I take it one day at a time.. so far it's been 6 1/2 weeks into my new life. I feel great!
