Second Time Around Club Roll Call
I think it might be nice for the STAC club to have a roll call space where we can post some information about ourselves, and whether or not we want to be checked up on (or even stalked, in some cases - LOL) if we go missing from our board here. Since we are Second Time Around Club members (or in many cases, more than second time!) it is extra important that we develop a strong network of friendship & support. We all know how easy it is to slip up on this way of eating, since we've all been there before. In addition to the physical challenges we are faced with we are also learning about ourselves emotionally and our emotional responses towards food. I know for me personally, when i have slipped up previously, it was primarily due to emotional responses, rather than a physical craving.
And to clarify, when i am referring to *slip ups* i do not mean just *one mistake* that we pick ourselves up from, brush ourselves off, and jump right back on that low-carb horse. I mean the one *slip up* that turns into two, and into three, and then snowballs into a deep depression surrounding our *horrible mistake*, which leads to not coming to the board anymore due to shame or guilt or just plain denial... which leads to weeks or months of a willy-nilly carb bender that will be very, very difficult for us to come out of. And i know this because i have been there.
And i do not want to go there again! This board keeps me in check & in balance. The people here keep me motivated & inspired. This is an excellent community of people and i know that for me personally, i could not do this without you. This is why i call STAC my ADBB home.
