  • Back here and very stressed

hey guys i'm a 19-year old male and 6' tall... here's my conflict, i did atkins 2 years ago and went from 215 to 185, i was working out and exercisin, it was the good days... and last year we moved to a new city and i didn't have any friends here, and for some reason i just stopped workin out and starting eating quite a bit... and at the beginnin of the summer i got a summer job at a factory (really sweaty work, loadin unloadin trucks) workin 50-60 hours a week. and i staerted eating fastfood on lunch with coworkers and after or before work and now i weigh 225!!! pounds... and the reason why i'm stressed is i'm going to university in 2 weeks and don't fit into anythin but 2 shirts i have.. and i'm moving into residence... i know i won't enjoy university and residence life with this weight attacted to me... so i started atkins yesterday...i just wanna lose the gut and drop to 205-210 or something just to feel a little lighter and more confident... (btw i stopped dating when i moved here, cuz i didn't know anyone) anyways i'll continue atkins when i go there of course and they have a nice gym too... so anyways for 2 weeks i'm thinkin of eating 2 eggs in the morning or lunch and a bowl of salad on break (i work 4p-12a, so at 8p) what do u guys think? is there a express way to lose more weight in 2 weeks? thnx for reading guys, i just wanted to tell my story.

Welcome to STAC, Wonderboy! Drink lots of water & try to spread your daily veggies out throughout the day instead of eating them in one big chunk... i made that mistake in the past and now that i spread it out, a little at each meal, i am doing much better.

Keep coming back and posting... i want to hear about your successes! Good to have you here!!!

Yes, keep coming back! Also and in addition to Dragonflymoon's statement about veggies - with the type of work you do (very active it sounds) - it doesn't seem like you will be getting enough food. Eat when you are hungry. Maybe take some extra snacks to work. Add some food to those eggs. You shouldn't go longer than I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong) 6 waking hours without food. If you get to hungry, you will be more tempted to stray towards the carbs.

Not eating enough could actually work against you. The book, Dr. Atkin's New Diet Revolution (2002) spell out specific things you should do. You will find a list of foods you should eat through during induction, as well as recommendations for certain supplements and exercise. You really should familiarize yourself with the DANDR.

You should be eating daily 3 cups of veggies from the list (the list is also in the induction forum) along with protein, fat and certain other allowed foods at regular intervals during the day, 3-5 feedings. Lots of water is also essential, and some things which tend to stall weight loss are discussed.

Good luck to you! You'll be wearing more shirts in no time!
